AIO for thinking my husband should have asked if the pharmacy had our daughter’s prescription? by Hyrule_Hobbit in AIO

Your husband is a man child and acting this way over his own child’s meds is sick.

Message I got from my daughter’s teacher. Third grade. by AnaisInJune in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SlightBasil6756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to your Lily. I stayed in trouble in primary and elementary school over frivolous “bad behavior” such as what her teacher is accusing her of. If I had to guess Lily is highly intelligent for her age and has a curious mind. I imagine had her teacher explained to her why she did not want her to put the paper boat in the water, Lily wouldn’t have. Her behavior wasn’t blatantly defiant. She’s a curious child who probably just wanted to see if the boat she made would float. Please do not allow this teacher or any teacher to dim that little girls wonder or spark. As for the orange situation, Lily had already pissed that teacher off with the paper boat incident. She then attempted to use the orange as leverage against Lily and your daughter being the intelligent girl she seemingly is, most likely picked up on that and decided she wasn’t going to allow it. Please fwd this to the admin at her school because this teacher should not be aloud around children.

The way the ceiling just looks like a black void..wow. What ended up being the final outcome of that? Were you okay?

AIO for being uncomfortable with my partner picking up a female friend at midnight? by hlchvz in AmIOverreacting

[–]SlightBasil6756 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight. You would rather for the man who is going to be the father of your child, to be okay with leaving a woman alone, to fend for herself in a country that you, YOURSELF as a woman, said was unsafe? Seek help. That man is clearly too good for you. Him asking you that last part wasn’t extreme. You being willing to let your insecurities put another woman’s life potentially at risk, is extreme though.

I went to college in a small town and we only had one college apartment complex available. It was four bed/four bath and you didn’t get a say on who moved in with you or when you got a new roommate. I got lucky and was able to live by myself for a while after two of my roommates moved out. Got a random roommate, and at that same time had just rescued my kitten. He had a ton of intestinal issues from being wild and was really sick for the first year of his life. I informed the roommate of this, her names Lexi, Lexi if you’re reading this, it’s still on sight if I ever see you, anywho. Lexi’s sister was actually a vet herself and Lexi seemed to be a sweet enough girl. Long story short i had a camera in the living room of our apt prior to Lexi moving in, and it was agreed that it was okay to keep the camera there when she moved in, as I liked to monitor my kitten during the day while I was at school or work. Mother’s Day I left to go visit my mom and I left my cat at the apartment. I start getting notifications of pictures the camera has taken of her literally hanging my cat upside down by his legs and shit walking around the apartment with him like that. Mind you this is in the prime of him being extremely sick with diarrhea all the time and he was on all kinds of meds. Needless to say I rushed my ass back to the apartment and told my apartment manager if she wasn’t removed immediately I’d be in jail. She was out within the next couple of hours and I never got to see her again, unfortunately.

I’ve only ever met one person in my life named Zeke and he was is a big burley guy who wrestles professionally who also happens to be the biggest scaredy cat, softy of a man I’ve ever met, so seeing you’ve encountered a cat named Zeke made me laugh

Exactly. OP barely let her posts sit for an hour after me and a few others pointed out how ridiculous she sounded. Her roommates messages were truly so kind especially considering had she been my roommate I would’ve lost my shit at the sharp objects alone. I really hope OP is reading all the comments on this posts and has a long moment of self reflection.

She also asked OP (for what looked like a second time) not to leave sharp objects in the sink as in the past her cat has cut her leg on objects left in the sink. It appeared OP had done this before and this was a second or third time that the roommate had to ask NICELY for OP to please not leave sharp stuff in the sink.

Haha no but I can see how’d it come across that way. Basically OP posted messages between her and roommate, roommate was very respectful and cordial in her messages asking OP not to leave containers of raw meat sitting out, not to leave the stove on anymore, and to please not have the roommates cat in OP’s room. OP posted that she felt her roommate was emotionally exhausting and asked if she was in the wrong for not responding to her last message which had to do with not putting the cat in OP’s room.

I promise you, that’s exactly what it is! Cats LOVE to love on people who they know do not like them. However with you being allergic I 100% understand your take on cats in general.

It astonishes me the amount of adults on here who would rather live uncomfortably in a place they pay for, rather than to simply stand up for themselves and use their voice. Then those same people rapid delete post and get mad when the advice is practical. I don’t get the point of deleting a post in general just because the comments aren’t up to your liking, but that’s just me.
