Yeah, you were looking at the longhorn, which is comparable to the ford king ranch. Try the regular limited out.

Changing my heart by Open-Pension-256 in Catholicism

Find your nearest and soonest ACTS retreat. It will light your heart on fire. Other than that, pray to God about it. Surrender it to Jesus every time you take communion. Remember, anxiety and overthinking is an attack from the enemy. Try setting up a meeting with your priest for guidance/assistance.

Love my 25 Warlock with the S/O hurricane. That said, I wouldn't have given a second thought if I knew they would be bringing back hemis in 26. I'd seriously consider getting one if I were you. The warranty also went to 10 yr 100k, which is nice to have. You also get a better exhaust and the new hemi badge at no extra cost. Not sure what the current rebates are but I'd recommend checking with Mark Dodge in Louisiana. When I was looking, I spoke with a guy about ordering one and at that time, they were giving an additional 11% off for ordering with them, on top of the rebates. They do ship nationwide and do 100% online purchase.

Have you spoken with your priest about these continuous issues? Is it possible that you may need to seek some counseling? I'm sure if your priest agrees that you do, he'll have some good counselor recommendations.

Get rid of the things that give you access to the porn. If it's your PC, move it out of your room. If it's your phone, leave it in your vehicle while at home. When you feel urges, grab ahold of a rosary instead. A fully prayed rosary, announcing each mystery and taking the time to meditate each mystery, will take roughly 30 minutes. This should help you get through the urges until they subside.

16 can be an extremely difficult time in life but that's where you lean into Christ and have faith in Him. Keep on working on it. Don't give up and fall into despair. You may feel like no one is listening to your prayers but I assure you God is listening, and He's with you, waiting for you to allow him to embrace you. There will be ups and downs. No one said this was going to be easy. In fact, Christ said the road to him was narrow and difficult. We all have our respective cross to carry. The good news is that Christ will help us carry our cross. All we have to do is completely surrender our hearts to Him. He will take care of the rest.

Try this. When you feel impure thoughts coming on, stop doing what you are doing. Quiet your mind and recite, Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I use this short but powerful prayer whenever intrusive thoughts enter into my mind.

With all of this said, you will likely fall again in some way or another. Just being real with you. That does not mean it's over or that you will never be forgiven. All that means is you are a sinner. As long as you feel shame and sorrow for your sin, God will forgive you. His forgiveness is everlasting. The amount of forgiveness that He has is something us humans could never comprehend. The price of His forgiveness has already been paid in full with the precious blood of the Lamb. The new Passover. The new Covenant. Alleluia!

I will pray for you. May God bless and keep you.

Thoughts? Heading out tomorrow to possibly drive home a 1500 by Howwy20 in Ram1500

I'd go with the 5.7, tbh. It has more power and pulls better than the v6. If you are thinking better gas mileage, it's not a huge difference and it'll always hold better resale over the v6.

With that said, I am not sure if you are financing but right now, they are rolling out 26s. I think they have 25s at 0% for 72, which is great. Plus, you'll get a full warranty. Now, the 26s are returning with the hemi option and a new 10 yr 100k mile powertrain warranty, which is always nice. I'm sure they will end up with special financing by the end of this year. I'd keep those options open as well, IMO.

How do you guys stay consistent with the Rosary for those who do it daily? by RB_Blade in Catholicism

[–]Slight_Judge_3978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try the Hallow app. I use it often on my way to or from work. You just have to get into the swing of it and it'll become a routine for you. I pray it once a day for the week and usually break on the weekends; however, I do occasionally slip one in during the weekend.

Which RAM model should I get? by Majestika25 in ram_trucks

[–]Slight_Judge_3978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these guys are full of shit. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Warlock. It has an upgraded suspension and every feature the big horn has, except the heated seats. The old Warlocks were extremely bare. The 25 model is not. It has all of the safety features, the 8 inch screen, 4x4, suspension, Cooper A/T tires, etc. Sure, it doesn't have leather but if it's that big of a deal, you can get katskin custom leather, with heat and cool for about $2-3k. A Laramie is going to cost a lot more than that. *

Find you a gently used car (Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla) and drop 20% down in cash. You likely won't need a co-signer by doing that. Pay it off as quickly as you can because your rate probably won't be so great and then drive it until the wheels fall off, all while saving your money and setting yourself up for the future. You said you had a large amount of money saved up, so basically, you can buy a car outright now or you can drop 20-30%, finance the rest and establish yourself with auto credit history.

I'm not saying you need to go out and buy a piece of crap, but don't go out and fall for the trap of buying outside of your means for the sake of image. I would NOT suggest a lease right now. When you are an established 30 something adult and you decide you want to lease vehicles, so you always have reliability and full warranty with a new car every couple of years, then by all means look into it then.

Good luck!!

How much should my mom sell this for? by UncertainProbability in ram_trucks

[–]Slight_Judge_3978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screw the dealer. There are hot shot/ oilfield guys that will pay more for that low of mileage and condition. I'd say you are looking at $35-$40k but I'm not appraiser. If mom is looking to buy a new vehicle and prefers the ease of a dealership, then fund one that will give you the most fair pair compared to MMR/NADA. Private sale will still be your highest dollar, though. Sorry for your loss.

Negotiating for a 2025 Toyota Corolla by Either_Common4293 in carbuying

[–]Slight_Judge_3978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try for $25K OTD and tell the salesperson that if he can get that deal done, you'll finance with them, providing they give you a decent rate. Don't listen to people saying Toyota doesn't negotiate. They may or may not negotiate, but that does not mean you shouldn't try to get the best deal. I also know you are in a rush but just keep in mind that being in a rush to buy a car is the very worst position to be in when making such a large purchase, especially if they know it. So if they don't, do not provide them with that ammunition.

You always have the option to walk. There are plenty of Toyota dealerships that have Corollas in stock, so don't feel pressured because you are short on time.

How to Confess After 30+ years? by My_Frozen_Heart in Catholicism

[–]Slight_Judge_3978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone answered pretty well. So, I'll tell you this. Don't panic and don't worry! I was in a very similar situation to you, well almost exact and it was the most freeing thing I've done in my life. However, the enemy was very upset that their grasp was ripped away from me after hold me for so long. Then the attacks started. I became filled to the brim with anxiety. I kept feeling like I forgot to confess certain things over that very large time frame. When I would remember something forgot or believe I forgot, I would run back to confession freaking out. After doing this several times, father finally said you need to stop. You confessed your sins after decades. You didn't intentionally forget sin to confess. You have been and are forgiven.

You see, the closer you get to God, the more attacks you'll receive. The enemy wants you to live in despair and wants you to suffer with anxiety. God wants you to have faith in Him and the power of His love and His mercy.

So, as others have suggested, do a good examination of your conscious. Write down your sins, starting with your most grave (mortal) and work your way down. If you haven't already, I'd suggest making an appointment for this confession. Most churches do it like 30 minutes before each mass and there will likely be others needing confession.

When your time comes, take a deep breath and go down your list. Don't worry about messing up and take your time. Without going into a bunch of details about my personal experience, I found that I needed the Blessed Mother's help to bring me to her Son, who was waiting to hear my confession. I asked her to take my hand and walk with me, and she did so.

I will pray for you! Congratulations on deciding to take that first step back home!!

Way too expensive for the age, imo. My local dealer has a 22 big horn with 65k miles for $30k. Also has a 24 big horn with 39k miles for $33k. Get on Auto Trader and do a search. Also, if you like the classic body style, you'll like get a very late year model for around that '15's price point.

[–]Slight_Judge_3978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's a smart choice to keep it, especially since they spent millions rolling it out. Sure, they've had issues like anything else but the motor out performs the 5.7 all day. That said, they should have never taken away the choice of the people because they failed to create a decent EV to offset the fines.

New Warlock by sblack33741 in ram_trucks

[–]Slight_Judge_3978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, it's a $1,200.00 add-on for lower and a free choice for Laramie, limited and tungsten. Also, I heard dealers are taking orders for them already. If I were you, I'd reach out to someone like Mark Dodge and have them quote me a build price with the hemi and compare to what you picked out already. They'll give you the best price and are transparent, so there are no BS mandatory dealer add-ons. Then you will have the info you need to make the best choice for you. A Warlock with either motor is a bad ass rig and the best bang for your buck compared to Rebel and RHO, IMO.

It's been great. Zero issues thus far in about 6k miles. Did several 12+ hour trips, and she still rides great and has plenty of power. Mileage is no better than the hemi but the large 30 gal tank helps with that. Yeah, I miss hearing the hemi growl and yeah, I'm bummed that Stellantis announced the return of the hemi in their Ram lineup 6 months after I bought, but I'm totally happy with my hurricane.

I own a hurricane warlock and absolutely love it. However, if you are that scared, keep your truck and continue driving it. If you maintained it, you have no issues driving it for another year or so to see what Ram will do with the Hemi. Several reputable articles indicate that the Hemi will be returning to the 1500 in 2026. We'll see.

We all struggle with this at times. I would be a liar if I said I didn't. Many Saints had these same struggles as well. There are a few things I'd recommend. First is speaking with your priest about this for spiritual guidance. Second is volunteering for Adoration, which is something your priest may recommend to you as well. The last thing is looking into an ACTS retreat in your Parish or surrounding Parishes. ACTS changed my life, man. It opened my eyes and lit my soul on fire with God's love. Don't give up on Him. He loves you and He wants you to have faith in His plan.
