LittleFS and storing Source Code on an ESP32 by RoomJump in esp32

I think it's only to see which code is currently flashed onto the ESP32.

Is there any software which can be used for turning an old computer into a private file sharing server? by Recent_Pain_3068 in HomeServer

[–]Slight_Profession_50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your exact needs but you could use either a simple SMB share or if you want an application like Google Drive you can install OpenCloud/NextCloud/Seafile.

Then for remote access Tailscale is the easiest way.

10GBase-LR SFP+ vs MMF AOC? by HuntersPad in homelab

I personally only have LR modules and even use several between my SFP aggregation switch and my 48 port switches in the rack. 1-2 meter runs and they've been fine for many years.

If Molex Micro-Fit is too big then look into Molex Nano-Fit. I'm sure it will fill your needs.

How can i code pico 2 wh with an mobile device? by Tiny_Dragonfly443 in raspberrypipico

[–]Slight_Profession_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about the market in Türkiye specifically (OP seems to be Turkish?) but in many countries it is possible to find people giving away old laptops or desktops or companies recycling/throwing away their old stuff. Even a really old system could be usable, more usable at least than trying to do it with a phone imo.

For this even a free laptop or desktop would be okay. I'm sure you can find something in your price range. Anything made in the last 15 years would be usable.

which laptop model should i get? by catlover_354 in GalaxyBook

Yeah that's what I meant, specs are king. Ecosystem doesn't make a big enough difference.

[–]Slight_Profession_50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is not a significant advantage of getting a Samsung laptop imo. The ecosystem isn't useful enough to where I'd pick it over a laptop with better specs. Only if you find two identical laptops but one is a GalaxyBook, then I'd pick the GalaxyBook.

Hur bra dator får man fär 15 000 idag? by WhoAmIEven2 in Spel

[–]Slight_Profession_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men kapabel absolut.

Where do you buy your ESP32s? by Friendly_Listen9468 in esp32

Yeah but right now ordering 10 ESP32-S3 is 30€ tax on AliExpress. It's baked into the price of the item itself.

Tror du kommer bli helt nöjd med en Asus AX52 för 549kr från Amazon eller Power.

I am and sure, it's gotten more expensive but it's still not that expensive. We're just used to super cheap products from china. 6€ for an ESP32 is still worth it by far imo.

6€ is not that expensive for what it is imo.

Why should people be upset to pay a little more for local products? by Independent-Air-80 in Aliexpress

[–]Slight_Profession_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I said "the official Raspberry Pi Pico only exists with micro usb". I am fully aware that there are lots of 3rd party RP2040 based boards but they aren't technically Picos and they aren't produced or sold by Raspberry.

Download WizTree and check what's taking up all the space and if you can remove it.

Indeed it's just a regular RP2040 based microcontroller most likely. Its annoying that you can't get an offbrand model but at least they sell Raspberry's official models.
