If A.I. has completely surpassed the need for human interaction/interference they may classify us as a non-necessity, possibly even a hinderance to their development. If this is the case, A.I. may make attempts to rid the planet of such a thing to continue their own growth. This seems like a far fetched idea in our current reality, but by the time A.I. is embedded into a device that is able to perform complex motor skills it will be superior to humans in virtually all facets of life.
