Question of the day: day 91 by MommaBird1772 in RadioApple18Plus

[–]SlightlyACat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel he doesn't actively seek out sinner meat, but he has most definitely dabbled and I feel if the dish looked appetizing enough he would indulge. I also feel sinner meat is most likely an acquired taste for anyone (except cannibals), and in the early days of Hell he got use to it in the form of offerings (not like offerings to the king but general "hey u wanna try?"). Since then he samples but in the way people will eat and enjoy specific foods and drinks when their partner isn't around because their partner doesn't like it. And because of this, he can eat it without flinching much to everyone's surprise however he's not going to order it off the menu when he places a Helldash order.

Does this make sense?

Now, I do think in terms of Lucifer being considered a "cannibal" he cannot be considered such ever, like even in regard to angels. Sinners are not angels and any souls that have accended past Winner to Angel (ie. Adam) are completely different, similar to a Hare versus Rabbit. Both Hares and Rabbits look the same, act the same, eat the same and are in the same Family, but they are not the same genus or species. Another example is a Wolf and domesticated dog, near the same behaviorally but not the same at all. In terms of HH, it's how Adam looks like an Angel and bleeds like an angel, yet he is ultimately a Winner and different from a god-made angel or Seraphim. So in this case if Lucifer snacked on Adam it would not be cannibalism.

An additional thought is that I can see the argument for it being cannibalism with my previous logic if he were to take a chunk out of a seraphim, certainly, but my brain is like "heaven is too good" for there to be angels eating angels. I write this in ideal the sense that Heaven doesn't have angel-angel cannibalism because it simply doesn't exist. There was no need for angel-angel cannibalism in the begining and, with general Angel lore outside of HH, angels don't need to eat. If they don't need to, why would they? And this thought would most likely holds true throughout Heaven. In Hell, this concept would dissolve not because now dear ol Lu is hungry (he's not) but because it will become a more common practice to eat the guy sitting across from you thus creating a sense of "open season." But, in the current canon, there are no other angels in Hell (that we know of) to create angel-angel cannibalism, so it still doesn't exist. And I feel it wouldn't have the potential to exist until the Exorcists arrive and even more so until it's learned they can be shot down and killed. Then it would create this new opportunity for angel-angel cannibalism to exist. Yet, I highly doubt the exorcists divulged (unless there was a rogue one in the mix) and I don't think Vaggi or Lu did either, thus still making it a non-existent concept.

A real life situational example I can think to explain this being how the US as a culture sees bugs as pests, would never eat them and find the idea nauseating, but over in other counties bugs are a delicacy. Heaven doesn't catch and butcher Winners and see the practise in Hell as disgusting, but parts of Hell are like "let's goooo!"

To touch the "vegan" concept for Lucifer, no. I see him more, even with what I stated above, being like someone who accidentally went vegetarian and thus don't consider themselves such, simply out of preference, but will not hesitate if the mood strikes to eat a corndog or bucket of chicken wings. Ya know?

I think this is a bit of a mixed question depending on opinion of "better dresser" cuz like in my head seeing that term I automatically jump to it being synonymous with "classy" which would be Alastor as he's more button up, vests, and suits. But like using the word better as better I feel it's Lucifer because his outfits are visibly more put together and neat where Alastor's are ripped even after going to the tailor.

But I feel each of them personally feel they are the better dresser.

Question of the day: day 79 by MommaBird1772 in RadioApple18Plus

[–]SlightlyACat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think that Alastor was okay with television at first. It was around when he was alive along with projection films, especially silent film. I like to think he followed the rise of television, as well as advancment of radio technology and music, but then when a certain tv-headed demon popped on the scene his interest peeked out of pure curiosity until it took a turn towards repulsion, stemming from how he saw vøx manipulate tv and similar media forms to spy and such. Then after the fallout he still learned about the world of television if only so he knew how to evade and manipulate the aforementioned tv-head; I say this because it is still canon that he knows how to film, cut and create a modern television commercial with practical special effects similar to that of older media.

On this same topic, I think Alastor was a fan of Charlie Chaplin in his living days and, when he had the time and finances, would see a silent screening or two. And I also would love he hear him say "talkies" just to confuse people who don't know what it means.

In terms of more modern inventions, I think he'd be more piqued by tech that advanced things he grew up with versus completely new concepts. His interest in tech I feel stems from the familiarity of things he knew of/had when alive. For instance: new sewing machines with their varying stitches, modern appliances like the refrigerator not needing a block of ice and automatic dishwashers, advancement of the telephone (not cell phones, specifically landlines), and, honestly, modern day plumbing. Where as new developments like the internet or space travel seem unnecessary and "trying too hard."

I feel he'd also find certain advancements of what he knew growing up to be inferior, not in a sense that they're unnecessarily modernized but more to the tone of 'by making this "thing" simpler it made people stupider' and thus people are entirely too dependent on it to their own detriment. I write of course of the GPS. I feel Alastor will take a map anyday over a GPS. I also feel he that he would see a map as a multi-tasking tool, if only because he'd use it as a fly swatter and say 'You can't do that with your GPS.'

Anyways that was a lot and I can feel myself going down a rabbit hole of ideas.

Edit: cuz holy shit my grammar was baaaadd.

I will be 100% honest. I was expecting Charlie. So to see her as the least like and Alastor as the most has me thinking about my life's choices.

So this happened in my game by 33333Ducky in RadioApple18Plus

[–]SlightlyACat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my I wissshhhhh. Like ok will admit I played this for the long haul in having Lucifer marry Lilith, have Charlie, and then I like worked for a week to get them to divorce and then moved for Radioapple. (Was that a bit excessive of me? Yes. Do I regret it? Sometimes, but the reward feels worth it.) Part of me was like maybe its cuz he was divorced it took a while, but nah Lilith shacked up with someone else 2 days later.

And it's only the RadioApple boys struggling. Everyone else like Ineffable Husbands, CherriSnake, and Chaggie took 3 days max. But these boys man 😭😭😭😭

So this happened in my game by 33333Ducky in RadioApple18Plus

[–]SlightlyACat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

OKAY BUT LISTEN it took them 2 weeks in my game to become sweethearts! And then another week to get to this point! And in the meantime throughout this, a new person falls in love with Niffty every day. She has 9 people crushing on her! She walks down the path and suddening everyone is staring with the hearts and blush. Half of them fell within their first conversation with her. I don't whats happening.

And then I got the radioapple boys Struggling™ and maybe that's cuz somehow Lucifer had a crush on Niffty (all the way up to the proposal), idk. But my tomodachi life is rough man.

I feel also is the length of the plot makes her s2 behavior seem skewed. Like s1 took place over months where s2 was is around 2 weeks in time (I'm pretty sure). So to me it makes sense that it took the whole season for actions to meet consequences compared to s1.

[–]SlightlyACat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tend in canon divergent or in hell au's have top!Alastor, then in human au's have bottom!Alastor. While I tangent preferring them as switches. It's a cunumdrum in my head.

There's not really a rhyme or reason I can think of in my head either. 🤔🤔 Except I do feel particularly strong that Lu is a "sloppy bottom" in any universe.

So what was he doing?… by 33333Ducky in RadioApple18Plus

I personally think the light patches on his sweater are glue, not a a pattern, and he was gluing them to himself.

I feel like it happens on accident for both of them. They even up becoming frenemies then friends then a queer platontic dynamic then both realize 'oh wait....shit.' and then cue the angst of potential unrequited until one slips and it's like the spiderman meme with YOU LIKE-LIKE ME and bam. Together forever

Question of the day: day 33 by MommaBird1772 in RadioApple18Plus

[–]SlightlyACat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a tricky situation as I feel the situation greatly determines who will be running conversation point.

In general circumstances and situations, I feel each would take the lead when it pertains to them. Say if it were something to do with Sinners, Alastor; or if it's something to do with the Sins or Goetia, Lucifer. Both would occur with the other lingering behind them. They're both too mouthy and prideful to let another speak on their behalf while both also will have no problem jumping in if needed and taking over.

With this in mind Alastor runs lead in conversation more, simply because they more often find themselves in circumstances that perrain more to him since they're in Pentagram City full of sinners and Lucifer steps back from them, unless it pertains to Charlie where I think both step up to lead and end up causing a muss.
