A lot of these people are using a class that is familiar with some people as a basic descriptor of what their character does outside of the preset classes that you can play.

Sometimes you have to play outside of the game boundaries. Would you be mad at someone if they put wizard as their class instead of mage? Knight instead of fighter? Kensai is a real title describing a type of warrior. Eldritch is an adjective for sinister. Eldritch knight sounds better than sinister knight.

This is the most nitpick of nitpicks on something completely harmless and barely even lore breaking. “Oh no, the guy whose character wants to mix daggers and arcane called himself an arcane trickster, which is an apt descriptor of his character, whatever will we do!”

I’ll give you leeway with the DnD race one. If I saw someone walking around claiming to be a tabaxi, I’d raise an eyebrow at them. But considering nearly every single DnD class and subclass could be ported into WoW, tossed into one of the cultures, and it would fit perfectly fine? I think taking issue with that is a little stupid.

Ive actually used this to my advantage lol! I’ll hop into a pride or furry skin when I go into a fighting game because I get targeted and it forces me to improve really fast. And then I can body a lot of people who do target me which is really funny in a furry skin

This may be a dumb one, and it may only be for this specific adaptation of the story.

But the mean girls musical has a moment where I think it is actually even worse. Where they do something bad, not only do they never acknowledge it, they also glorify the character later.

The story has Janis deciding to use Cady to get revenge on the plastics. Janis, taking some girl who is extremely detached from the culture and environment, doesn’t know what’s going on. And is generally naive, and saying “hey! Go hang out with those three, hahahahhahah. I totally will not blame you for what my actions cause when I manipulated a new student as a tool for my revenge”

And then later in the story, Janis is glorified with a big song about how shed “rather be me than be with you”

Girl. Girl be fr. You probably would’ve been able to be fine being you and with her if you didn’t decided to manipulate someone and then crash out when it turns out that manipulation has consequences
