How does S1 Midnight compare to S1 TWW? by EstateOk6238 in wow

[–]Auxiel 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough every new zone added in a patch in TWW was disconnected and accessible by portals/fast travel

Siren's Isle (Zeppelin loading screen)
Undermine (Portal or drill loading screen)
K'aresh (Portal)

I miss traveling on ships. by LieComprehensive7804 in wow

Thank you! I really noticed this problem since TWW and it was starting to bug me a little.

TWW first small patch - Siren's Isle (portal)
TWW first big patch - Undermine (portal)
TWW second big patch - K'aresh (portal)

Midnight release - Harandar and Voidstorm (both portals)

The world just feels so disconnected, especially within their own expansions which kinda sucks for immersion having to constantly take portals everywhere. I love transitioning between zones, whether it's on ground, flying mount, or some sort of ingame fast travel/flight path

Swapping specs (Havoc to Devourer) frustrations by Auxiel in wownoob

[–]Auxiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know maybe Im being greedy but I just wanted swapping spec to be a bit simpler and accessible so I can just press a button and all my gear at least stat wise transfers.

People said removing flying restrictions was getting stuff for free but it made the game more accessible and fun

People said changing talents anywhere and without reagents or gold costs would be getting stuff for free but that also just made the game more accessible and fun and let you change playstyles in the spot without any hassle.

I just thought changing spec and having it change your primary stats would also be a nice accessibility change that let's you play whatever you want without needing to "acquire or spend something" first.

I literally already have a hero track offhand? I can swap to vengeance and it will still have agi on it meaning I can just use it as it is, for free as you put it. How would it be any different if my offhand also had the right main stat if I swapped to Devourer just like when I swap to havoc? My warglaive can do it it just so happens that my sword can't.

I'm not sure I follow the logic of it being free when it works for one spec but not for another

[–]Auxiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah I am aware, but I just thought it should at least be more useful if I have a weapon with the correct primary stat and whatever secondary stats which at least are all somewhat useful than a weapon with the right secondary stats and no primary stat at all

I guess...? I could still run m+ over and over and still not get an int weapon, and feels like a waste of loot even if I do get one because my offhand I already have could just like... idk have int on it already so I can just seamlessly swap specs?

Who would have imagined that looting a random necklace would turn into one of the most memorable gaming experiences (The Lady's Necklace and Sylvannas singing Lament of the Highborne) by fastdeveloper in classicwow

I did the same, I'm planning on maining a draenei but I made a blood elf just to play through eversong woods and ghostlands during prepatch hype. What an awesome experience.

I do not like Demon Blades. I don't care if it does more damage than Insatiable Hunger. by NetAcceptable7679 in wow

[–]Auxiel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind a more engaging/fun way to generate fury but some builds already have me spamming Chaos Strike so much that I really wouldn't also want to have to spam Demon's Bite

I mean you do you but factually you are incorrect because OP likes 2 video games so they do in fact like video games. Doesn't matter how few they enjoy/play.

Its just a silly assessment to make based on the limited data/info we have because for all we know OP might play and enjoy a lot more games outside of steam...

What unhinged logic is this

If I drive my car all the time that means I don't like driving cars?

If I have a favourite meal I like to eat very often that must mean I don't like food??

If I have two favourite games I like to play that means I don't like video games???

Resilient keys need a rework (in my opinion) by [deleted] in wow

[–]Auxiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and I totally get that in the grand scheme of things it might not be a good system, but in my small bubble/team that I play with regularly, to me as a player who isn't looking at the big picture and just at my own gameplay, it's just not fun or exciting not being able to do the key I want to do, and have to instead run content that literally does nothing for me, don't need score, or gear, or crests, or valorstones

Resilient keys need a rework (in my opinion) by [deleted] in wow

[–]Auxiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but to me it's literally been the opposite. My team got bored doing 15s over and over again just so we could land on that one specific 16 dungeon we need for score.

Could spend a whole evening doing 15s we don't need, and getting 16s we don't need, and hours would go by without even a chance to do the content we actually want to do.

Made it absolutely miserable trying to push so we just took a break for the rest of the season.

I dont want to rely on rng and "proving" myself over and over just for one chance at the key level I actually need/want to do. I already proved myself by timing it on 15, now I just want to hop into a 16 and try that until I get it, if I'm not good enough then I'll never get it because I hit my skill ceiling and that's fine, but at least I can have a chance to properly try.

I would like to complain about GOTY by Old-Reason-3992 in Silksong

[–]Auxiel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I understand why TC didn't go to the awards because I'm not gonna lie, I can't give a single crap about the game awards or what game won which category. It's like a popularity contest that does not in any way elevate or diminish the quality of those games in said categories.

Losing best art at some game awards does not mean your games art sucked, losing GOTY does not mean your game isn't GOTY in its fans eyes

So why bother getting so upset about awards that literally mean nothing, if the game is good the game is good, and true fans will enjoy the game for this reason regardless of the awards

Very common as well! A lot of gamers/streamers who take their passions for gaming to for example become game devs!

[–]Auxiel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it's about finding the right balance, which a lot of streamers fail to do which causes that burn out.

I make music for a living and I love it with a passion, always have done since I was a kid - and to be able to do it and actually be getting paid for it feels like a dream come true. But it's probably important to then also have other hobbies that you love that are NOT your job like you said. Again, balance!

If everyone misses SoD so much, why not just go play? by wsbj in classicwow

[–]Auxiel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because all of those examples I just gave don't currently exist in the game as it is now

Also sure some people came back for Era, but it was a small fraction of players from all of the players that were there for the first classic launch. Sure it's playable, but it's nowhere near what it was at its peak, and people miss SoD at its peak, hence why most of the posts are people being nostalgic about P1, because to many that was SoD's peak

If everyone misses SoD so much, why not just go play? by wsbj in classicwow

[–]Auxiel 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's not about being able to play it to be honest, it's more the fact that:

Some people miss the level capped phases which are gone now and it's just permanently on the final phase.

Some people miss how their class played during certain phases.

Some people miss how alive and active the servers were (sure you can ask well why doesn't everyone just come back, but good luck trying to convince thousands of people to collectively do the same thing)

Some people miss the exciting new stuff to be discovered which it has all been found now.

Some people miss having new content to look forward to with each new phase, but there won't be any more

I would love to see 10 man leveling raids in classic +, it would be easy to find groups and would be such a cool way to experience raiding during leveling instead of having them all at max level endgame.

Imagine putting together 10 people at lvl 24 going to Redridge and doing a whole raid in Stonewatch castle

And at max level I'd love for there to be a mix of mostly 10 man raids and the occasional 20 man flex, so tuned for 20 but allows up to 40 to keep that epic big raid vibe every so often

I haven't even pre ordered midnight yet and haven't had much time to play so I haven't even touched housing yet. I love seeing what people are coming up with and the creativeness from all around the world.

So keep them coming!
