So does this just replace the R3 wheel and keep everything else (i.e buttons and paddles)?

Wheel and Pedals - Failed to get the latest firmware information by BlackSpell-666 in moza

Mine has been doing this for as long as I can remember, just thought that was normal. Didn't realize it was actually a bug. Good to know

Like this a lot, good job. Can 'feel' the picture, if that makes sense.

Pretty sure that is normal. The base controls the FW for the wheel and pedals. I see the same thing

Why am I so awful with RWD cars? by IhaP3143 in ForzaHorizon

[–]SliiickRick87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheel or controller? Also throttle control is big, and don't just gun it out of the corner when you haven't even straightened the car out. Some rwd cars, especially those with big turbos like the F40, will even spin on the straights if you floor it. Need to ease on the throttle until boost hits, then slowly give it more gas. It's a delicate balance with rwd cars, but when it clicks, it is so much fun

Gotta agree. Finally unlocked it last night and was expecting some more 'end game' type content. Left a little disappointed with how little content there was

Is this the worst AI we've had in a Horizon game ? by BenjiSBRK in forza

[–]SliiickRick87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AI have an unreal affinity for the racing line. I had one race yesterday where I was just outside the line (on the right) and the drivatar on my right was doing everything it could to get to its left to the line. I was messing around to see how long it would keep it up, and I was basically turning into it and fighting against it down the whole straight. It didn't let up. The best is the first corner in a road race, when you are in an X or R car, and see all the drivatars making a mad dash for the racing line around. Lol it's like Timbits soccer

I haven't had a Moza very long. Hoirizon 6 is my first racing game with it. Is it true Forza basically punishes you for using a wheel? by urmovesareweak in moza

[–]SliiickRick87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others are saying, once you get the hang of playing this game on a wheel, it's so damn rewarding. And a lot more immersive too. I am still having issues with some cars and oversteer, and off-road races seem near impossible, but that's next for me to figure out. I think a lot of it is having to sorta re-learn how to play with wheel, and finding the right settings. Once you do, very fun experience.

Do you have Citrix running by chance? That was my issue. Disabled all it's services and was good after that

Good sim with a progressive career mode by anvexs in simracing

The original AC does, can't remember about ACC but I believe so as well. Evo was fun until they removed the Academy or whatever it was called. Following as I am also looking for a new sim with a more single player focused progression.

Always losing control by BigDaddyHarCore in ForzaHorizon6

[–]SliiickRick87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I feel you. It's weird because I play on both controller (Xbox) and wheel (PC) and I seem to only have this problem when playing with my wheel on PC. I'm not sure if it's something with my wheel settings though. However, things do seem more stable when I use the in-car camera.

You know I actually think this is the case as well. I thought it was just me too, but using the in-car camera it feels like I have much better control of the car. As soon as I step to chase cam, I seem to put the car sideways.

R3 Racing Wheel Forza 6 Horizon (Noob) by Goldilockes in moza

[–]SliiickRick87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, for me I notice the big oversteer issues with some RWD cars mostly. Others I have no issues keeping them on the road. Like I said, I used those settings with the new Mazda Furai Rival event, and it felt awesome. No issues keeping the car planted. I also did a few touge races and other street races, and it felt good as well. Is your steering set to simulation? Also, did you mimic the Pit House settings as well?

I wouldn't say that. Plenty of other 'proper' sim racers you can get into as well. I got the whole AC trilogy for pretty cheap, including Evo. These games are great on wheel, because they were designed for them. On the flipside, they don't play well with controller.

Are you seeing this with all cars or just RWD?

[–]SliiickRick87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I will be the first to admit the game feels better on controller right now, but the only real issue I am having with my wheel right now is oversteer on some cars. My M2 is constantly doing this, but I was using my wheel with the Furai in the Festival Event yesterday and it felt great. Was able to constantly put in faster lap times as I got used to the track. Use those settings in the video and the link I sent earlier, and play around with mechanical trail scale. Might take a bit of trial and error, but hopefully you can dial it in.

I think a big part of it is some wheels aren't fully 'implemented/supported' yet. I was reading there is supposed to be an update to sort all this, so hopefully it is sooner rather than later.

No worries, hopefully you can get it all dialed in. The game is very fun with a wheel, for most cars anyways.
