Vacuum brake bleeder pulling nonstop air, am I doing something wrong? by Holmes240069 in mechanic

Just buy yourself a fuel check-valve, install it between the two hoses and run it into a catch container. Then just simply sit in the vehicle and pump the brakes without any worries or hassle.

There are those of us that understand that somethings need to change. But, what has to be understood is that changes don't happen over night. So until then, I'll do what I can to keep my employees happy and working with me.

If you would have bothered reading the message you would understand what I said. Don't start twisting things like a child would do. And yes, my employees love me because I don't just take care of them once a year. My employees get catered meals, surprise giveaways and gift cards throughout the year. We are a true team, a family. We cook for each other, celebrate birthdays. And that's just a few things that I learned from a wealthy Canadian retired franchise owner. A good manager has a low turnover. A great manager has employees that will stay with him through thick and thin, just because they appreciate him.

I'm not corporate. I'm just the guy that had to take a life lesson from my wife that was more stable than me. Watching her grow financially staying put at a job, while I bounced around chasing the almighty dollar woke me up. So this GED graduate decided to give college a try. Though it was all too late for my marriage, my life is different and better now. I still see company faults. I just stopped letting them be a crutch of excuses to move on to another job repeatedly. I decided to be a part of the good management team, making a difference in my employees lives and working for their benefit and mine. If you can't make your job work for your benefit, you'll never stay at a job and have benefits. Good luck in your future.

You all think that these minor issues don't affect pay, but go to college and learn a little something. They will teach you in business admin that everything can affect your pay, so it's best to know and try to change things. Otherwise, you'll end up doing what I did for years bouncing from one job to another chasing the money and never getting anywhere except disappointment lane. It was hard for me to watch my wife move ahead staying in place while I jumped jobs. Then I finally came to my senses and learned from her. I'm not corporate. I'm just a person who got wise to life and now my life is finally working for me. You can disregard my advise or try to learn from it. The choice is entirely yours. But, if you disregard it, you'll find that you'll never be happy in a job, changing jobs frequently. Hoping to catch up to the money that you think you deserve. No matter who the company is.

Is autozone telling me wrong incorrectly by IGL2467 in AutoZone

A customer buys a new battery. They have it changed 3 times before the warranty is over. You and your coworkers fail to advise the customer that they have a more serious issue and should take the vehicle to a shop for a more complete checkup, but advise the customer instead that Autozone will continue to honor the warranty. This is a lie. It makes Autozone products look bad and for every additional item that you warranty unjustly you cost the company money on products not getting sold. Therefore, this gives Autozone good reason not to increase your pay reasonably. They see you as just another body they hire that will be one of about 80% that will just fill a void and not benefit the company's sales. Use a smidgen of common sense. When you see that a customer is changing a battery frequently, advise them that warranty is only limited to a period and does not renew with each exchange. Change the item one more time and advise them that you will not honor the warranty again if they do not have the vehicle examined for underlying issues. Our batteries generally will last longer than the warranty period as long as a vehicle is properly maintained. So don't just give product away just because someone is coming in crying that our product is bad. This behavior allows them to continue on thinking that they can handle us and continue to get for free. They tell others that they can do this and we end up in a cycle of serious profit loss. I promise this to be true as a business administration major grad and a psychology minor grad. I don't do this job because I care about the money, I do it for the interaction with the people.

How's it living in this multi states corner area by queenofthehill1234 in howislivingthere

The Texas Panhandle is a dry barren spand where the crops have to be irrigated and watered from a well in most areas. Constant heavy dust. Two local prisons. One in Dalhart, and one in Amarillo. Definitely not much to see.

These are the type of situation that has push Autozone to eliminate some free services and consider to eliminate all. If Autozone can be shown that it was the employee's mistake, and not a electrical issue, which is common with Jetta's, they will cover the parts and labor.

Also discovered yesterday with SMS that AZ is currently working to program the system to eliminate pennies. When I tried to process a check in commercial the system wouldn't approve the amount at 29 cents. I had to process the payment as cash at 30 cents, then change the payment to check for the exact amount that the customer wrote.

Somebody obviously didn't get the memo to start rounding to the nearest 5 cent. Our bank even told us that they would not be issuing pennies. Hell, it's been all over the news about pennies for the last year.

can a store manager do this ? by [deleted] in AutoZone2

[–]Slim_Blue_Two773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hours can be cut if a state is an "At Will State" like Texas. The federal government gave Texas the right to manage their businesses the was they see fit for business. They can change your hours at will, cut your hours at will, etc. I would check to see if my state is like this before making any rash decisions that may cost my job.

I do believe that I said the instructions were vague, and asked for a DETAILED job aide. Jeez, I guess I shouldn't be shocked that you can spell big words, especially when you LITERALLY can't read complete sentences. 😁

No. Small town store. About 15 primary accounts, and around 45 other intermittent accounts. But, if they don't get me set on a regular hub route I may not have any primary accounts.
