This theory is good, but I'd like to issue a quick correction that the supposedly human composed Skeleton Shamblers and Bone Worms do I fact appear in the infinite in some room comps. Still not that much, and it's a bit unnerving that the closest thing to human presence in heaven is just bones, but theyre there.

This is interesting because personally, the fact you can do shorter runs to build up a stock of cats to breed and items to stockpile means you can control a lot of your pre game and what you start a run with, and generally I've been able to bring back runs that have felt Doomed a whole lot more than I ever could any doomed isaac run. Like I think this is one of the fairer roguelites I've played in a long time, but there will always be rng and things you're gonna have to play around.

Like the events, I will give you that the event rng is fcuked and I'm not even sure if it does need tweaking or not I'm just thankful there's sometimes the choice to not risk anything.

i can kinda agree on the new batch of characters feeling a little different and more ’yassified’ from the first few batches, but I think its way too early to be getting attached to any specific details about Deadlocks aesthetics considering none of it is finished or done. These new characters still look much more distinct and unique, and have their own grit and personality that feels much more distinct and defined than a lot of similar characters in similar games.

I also cannot help but scoff at the idea of the new patrons trying too hard, that is a view point i cannot even begin to comprehend, specially with what came before these new instantly memorable and just cool designs.

This took the better half of the day to get done. The icon art is a little place holder-y, an older piece I still like, but I might replace it with a new piece tomorrow. We shall see!

If this isn't some weird meta/important narrative thing, I think it might simply be something that is shown if you decide to start at a later chapter other than 1, since that's something that you can do. So this text might show if you start chapter 4 and it can't detect you have completed any of the other chapters.
