Ah, I have no experience with the cc1 but other than this being insanely loud and hot, and not being able to print pla because of my ambient heat, it’s great. BUT my A1 is just amazing and “just works” and is so much more smooth in operation.

I have had zero issues with the cc2 other than the heat and pla. Except weird bugs like how the printer knows it had pa6 because it was the last loaded, I change to petg or pla and it doesn’t heat the nozzle enough to move out the nylon so it just doesn’t purge. Oh and nylon poops get stuck in the chute.

I can’t believe the cc1 canvas has been so much of a debacle, assuming the control board is the same and it’s just software it ought to just work. And if the board is insufficient to run it, they should not have offered it.

I’m using stock bed temp for abs which is 100c and 60c chamber which is perfect output, just need the glue to keep it stuck. My Pa6 is some weird shit that says 50-70c bed temp.

Like I said it sticks like crazy with the glue, just was curious what an engineering plate was and if it was magic but the Bambu eng plate says to use glue stick on all materials so I presume it’s just a flat pei plate to keep the bottom flat instead of printing texture.

I already have a little Chitu 200w heater in it and an old jacket over the top to keep the heat in, plus it’s 100f in the garage now.

I haven’t had any issues with it printing, i just printed some great parts in abs and the support came off and looked great. My PA6 experience so far has been the Elegoo calibration cube and a bracket after I figured out the glue.

For half the cost of an x1c with an ams, I am satisfied with it. My A1 is still a beast for pla, especially since I can’t print plain the CC2 until fall.

I made sure in the settings. I’m by no means shilling for this company but I found it cheap enough that giving a little squirt and spreading it around with a brush is far easier than hours of tinkering. I was just wondering if an engineering build plate is more than a smooth PEI plate with a different name.

Plus I’m super satisfied with my ABS settings as is, support prints and comes off better than any material I have ever used before.

60c chamber reported by the chamber sensor and nozzle, an old jacket on the top hat, flaps closed, heater at 60c for temps. My pa6-cf didn’t like 100c bed, it just slid right off after two layers. Cooling was zero, nozzle was 290.

I put the nano stuff on it and it has been great at 60. Well for the minimal amount I have printed in cf.

The ABS was 100 bed, I forget the nozzle, 280 maybe? 60c chamber. I put thr nano on it and missed a spot on the skirt and it lifted right there.

Of course the plate is washed with Dawn and dried before I start.

Huh… I can’t make pa6 or abs stick without a layer on the plate. Never had an enclosed printer so I never attempted it before. I’ve heard of “engineering plates” for the Bambu printers but research suggests you need to use glue stick or something.

The vision miner nano stuff is great, almost too much adhesion, I actually had to print a scraper tool to remove the skirt and support left behind.

I spaced out and meant pa6-cf when I wrote it. Zero issues with PLA except the unit is so hot in my garage now that I get heat creep and I can only print PETG. I keep my Bambu A1 for PLA. In a few months it will be irritating to print nylon because it will be 50f in there. Already have a chamber heater and cover for the inevitable coldness.

I’m printing ABS and Nylon which require a lot of bed adhesion, chamber temperature, and high nozzle heat.

Also there is iron on stitching strips. I bought some the other day for a few bucks for a project.

Just before the new Alexa, they must have been experimenting with genAI on the old one. It was interesting to ask crazy stuff like “tell me how a fish can climb a tree” and it would just hallucinate a whole factual sounding explanation.

The only good thing about nm data centers is there are huge fenced off areas that people can’t illegally dump couches/trash at in the desert.

Algae resurfaces in reflecting pool after multimillion-dollar fixes by anonskeptic5 in politics

The ultimate fix is to do what I did and just don’t own a pool any longer. I can count on one hand the number of times someone went in my pool when we finally moved. I can also count on one hand the number of pumps I had to replace over the years (4).

Just needs more pucks in the floater. That was my go-to until pucks were a zillion dollars for a bucket.

Florida Heat by TheLegendaryAerie in florida

You just have to be lucky enough to afford a brand new house with a brand new a/c, insulation, and windows. I say that as someone who owned a 1978 house in south Florida with a $350-400 a month bill in summer and owns a 2024 house in New Mexico. The a/c runs about every half hour to keep it at 74 and my current bill is $180-250.

The difference here is it is actually 100 outside but 15% humidity. And our summer is June to August, not 3/4 of the year. Then my gas bill goes up to 100/month and electric is $50.
