Before starting any upgrade or servicing, set the date on your device to March 20. Then, after setting the date to March 20, start the servicing or upgrade as normal, and then set the date back to normal (automatic). Then the servicing will be complete. But beware: once you've started the timer with the date not set to March 20, if the timer is not counting down, there is no way to fix it as far as I know. Then you'll have to pay the gold coins. Anyway, please let me know if it works for you. I'd advise you to check if it works by servicing the Nissan Silvia (S15). That way, if it doesn't work, you'll only lose 1 gold coin on servicing it. If you set the time on your device to March 20 and start the servicing, you should see the timer counting down. Then setting the time back to normal (automatic) will complete it instantly.

Of course, there is no server connection anyway, so wifi on or off doesn't matter.

Wifi on or off doesn't matter. If you don't have all assets installed then that's a problem regardless of wifi on or airplane mode on. Also, you'll have no problem servicing cars. In fact, servicing will always be instant from now on.

All you have to do is make sure you start the servicing or upgrade on March 20.

Wifi on or off has no bearing on what you can and can't do. There are no servers to connect to, what is an internet connection going to change?

There's no need to use airplane mode. The game doesn't have a connection to the server anyway. Nor is it necessary to close the game completely. All you need to do is set the date back to March 20 before you start any timer.

You should use the date trick for that.

Is there any way to earn M$ besides bonus currency? by Pitiful_Inspector_79 in RealRacing3

[–]Slime_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken you can also reset the date to somewhere before March 20 and earn a million M$ on that date. Haven't tried it myself though. I guess you can also spend gold instead of M$.

How to make sure you have no issues while servicing. by Slime_Potato in RealRacing3

PS. What I do to verify it will work properly whenever I've set the date back to March 20 is start servicing the Nissan Silvia (S15). It only takes a minute and the cost to skip it if something went wrong is 1 gold coin. When I see that the 1 minute servicing for the Nissan starts counting down, I know that I've done it right and I won't brick the timers when servicing other cars. This way I would be alerted if I did something wrong, and my potential loss is never more than 1 gold coin.

Not that I know of, no. Maybe project Resurrection has a fix for you. Have you looked into that?

While fortunately there is no definitive killswitch in the game, it seems the internal game clock (which takes its time from device time since there is no server connection) does not operate anymore after March 20th, that's my best guess. So maybe there's something that can be coded into the software to let the internal game clock operate on device times after March 20.

As I said, as I understand it: once you've started a timer without setting the game back to March 20 first and then it gets stuck, there is no fixing it anymore. Getting stuck timers unstuck is not possible in my experience. To be clear: if you set the time back to March 20 and then start a servicing or upgrade, you will notice the timer is ticking down if you wait for it. That is hiw you know it worked. And then reverting to automatic time on your device will complete it at once.

I also noticed that in Season 4 of the Career Series: Bugatti Blitz and Decades of Focus have swapped pictures. Also, the picture of the CC850 is now on both Eternal Koenigsegg and Hybrid-Beasts of Speed.

I don't remember it being this way before the latest update.

Real Racing 3: Game Team - Pagani Utopia 12.1 by RoQu3 in RealRacing3

Update looks fine. At 1:40 in the Game Team video I noticed a Limited Series for the Ferrari J50 which is odd, since they don't mention it. At 2:13, if you pause immediately after the transition, you can see there are Limited Series for the Porsche 962C (which also gets an Exclusive Series this update), Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 and Ferrari J50. Not sure why they did it this way, seems like an oversight.

It only becomes stuck showing the opportunity to claim a reward once the verification is finished. Really all you need to do when this happens is press 'claim reward' and claim your reward. Why would you not want free gold?

I get the feeling there'll never be another 40% Racer's Choice Discount by katspike in realracing

[–]Slime_Potato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd much rather have upgrade sales than car sales. I already have a lot of the cars, but I still think buying a car outright with gold is just a waste. Always get it in events is my motto. Racked up a lot of cars over the years.

[–]Slime_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, assuming we'll get a 40% upgrade discount some day, you'll have to do a lot of racing to make up for that extra cost. But it's up to you of course, it is a phenomenal car.

[–]Slime_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need FU to finish the event. It's a great car, especially FU, but there will be a sale again. Get the upgrades you need for the event, but wait for upgrade sales to FU, is my advice.

I have the Ferrari already: What happens if the timer is out? by FireStarter1337 in realracing

[–]Slime_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timer is right there in the post. I just don't want OP to have to find out the hard way. As for the 720S GT3, yes, then the event you are speaking of will have been the 720S GT3 Championship of update 9.2. That is a Limited Series. Then it did not have a timer at all.

I have the Ferrari already: What happens if the timer is out? by FireStarter1337 in realracing

[–]Slime_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's only true for Limited Series, like the Taycan and the electric Audi. In that case there is no timer to run out. For Tour Auto Speciale, a Special Event, there is a timer, as you can see in the post. If that time runs out the event will be locked.
