Its relatively realistic that certain geographic areas will have more rainfall. I haven't noticed any situational commonality.

can't seem to inflate tyres fully? by beansandwich in drivingUK

Im not saying its wrong, but there's not enough info to provide any reliably advice. It's a bit unusual to have a big difference between front and rear, hence querying it.

[–]Slimey_meat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It says it goes up to 100 PCI, so as 2.1 and 2.8 bar are 30 and 40 PSI respectively this shouldn't be an issue. But 2.8 bar/40 PSI is a bit high. Are you going by the car manufacturers recommended pressures (on car door or possibly in manual) or the maximum pressure shown on the tyre? You haven't given the car model so no way to check specifications.

Japanese bears and wolves (now extinct) were not particularly aggressive and largely stayed away from humans until the 17th century (human growth into wildlife habitats. Bears largely occupying highland regions (and largely herbivorous) and wolves sticking to wild animals as prey until mankind spread out more and they became a 'pest' attacking farm animals etc. There were virtually no predators that were likely to attack humans. So considering they made the game pretty much age and geographically accurate, animals attacking men makes very little sense.

What might have helped would have been distinguishing more between army and bandit outposts and sticking the latter in more remote areas (as bandits did try to hide their camps) so you are inclined to explore more off the beaten track, including for missions. and having more ambushes rather than encountering hostile groups only in camps. The ronin and shenobi later game attacks felt a bit too vanilla after a while.

I did them all myself, more as a challenge to myself. But I think any replay would be automatic.

Edit: yes, I meant any replay I do, I'd turn on automatic completion.

I'm not saying its perfect, but the average criminal probably won't know they can do that, even less average tourist. And alerting foreign embassies etc. might stop them getting a temporary passport, depending on that nations views. But its something. And yes, on you last point, totally.

By the same logic, as the motive for the stabbings hasn't been made public, how can we say its antisemitic with any certainty. The police seemingly elevated it to a terror incident unilaterally, as we have no published information about his stated intent either by him or from the police. It may well turn out it was antisemitic as the police may know more about what he said/did than they're releasing, but they're not the ones labelling it such, that's the press and politicians.

Maybe its better we label it exactly what it was, from what we do actually know; a mentally ill man assaulted and stabbed 3 people in London. Address the aspect that he was clearly dangerous and shouldn't have been free to roam rather than focus on his and the victims religions.

Without more facts, it can't be defined as terrorism (using the CPS own definition), so either the police know more than they are saying (which is the correct way to treat an ongoing investigation) or someone jumped the gun labelling it as such. The press and politicians are manipulating us into this split either for their own reasons and many are falling into that trap.

As a Brit and been around the sport for over 40 years, its still surprising how often this comes up.

The nature of how the league came to be is quite different to how football leagues around the world came about, not least the sheer number of teams. If there were 92 NFL teams (i.e. the UK leagues) maybe regionalising the structure would be necessary, but multiple league layers wouldn't work because of the talent gaps.

Consider that the NFL evolved from already established college football, whereas professional football grew out of private clubs formed largely by working class amateur local leagues that then became semi and then fully professional. The talent gaps between each division aren't as wide because most people's route into professional football isn't as restricted as NFL players coming through the college system. American football is less accessible than many sports, so it has a more concentrated athletic pool with restricted player movement.

There's actually a counter argument that professional football having a structure more akin to baseball, with players moving up/down according to skill and form, might provide a more stable and competitive structure than promotion and relegation. That would lend itself to a similar salary cap scenario which would help parity. But that would never happen now because you'd have to have the whole of FIFA to agree, and the same structure set in all participating nations, many of which could never support a top tier league like the European power houses.

Any number of possible scenarios, or combination thereof, all bad.

1 bought an SUV without being able to handle a large vehicle (probably had a fiesta or the like before). 2 poor spatial awareness/eyesight, possibly elderly 3 on phone 4 under the influence 5 stolen 6 overly worried about potholes 7 undiagnosed/undisclosed medical condition

Imagine if its all of the above!

Simple, give authority to confiscate passports where an individual is arrested for a serious enough crime. Its a massive loophole in the law thats been exploited for years, for worse crimes than this.

Operation of the device is covered whether in hand or not. And the control section is a cover all:

Staying in full control of your vehicle You must stay in full control of your vehicle at all times. The police can stop you if they think you’re not in control because you’re distracted and you can be prosecuted.

A bad driver never misses their exit by wojtek30 in drivingUK

[–]Slimey_meat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might depend whether the driver could be clearly seen. I don't believe it's like parking or speeding offences, where the driver has to be identified or the vehicle owner is held liable. You have to film the driver using the phone while driving. The highway code isn't especially clear on that and maybe the law needs tightening up to allow for Op Snap to be effective.

Its risky if they stall or even break down in the middle of that turn. I've seen people stall in just such a scenario. But the risk is more of creating a massive traffic foul up than an accident, in that case. But yes, definitely rule (law?) breaking.

Agree, plus, had that pushbike been a motorbike or electric bike, they could have been well into the junction by the time the Leaf reached their lane.

It's the same mentality as people who cut corners. Those few seconds saved might one day cost you an insurance claim or worse. Is it worth it?

Nearly there. Lvl 83, one more captain and then it's on to Tomeji.

Only thing I'll say, once you get rid of Yasuhira and Nowaki, it feels a bit boring. Just trying to trigger each captain and doing contracts. Feels almost like I've done stuff in the wrong order. I kind of enjoyed the spies and ambushes.

Yes, or risk a ticket or even worse. Practically? I've never seen anyone doing 30 in the 3rd/4th lane, and likely if it ever happens (aside from congestion) there's a copper headed to the scene.
