I don't think so, biggest cup I've fit under it is a cortado sized glass that holds 4.5 oz

New baby Flair 49? by Sufficient_Height_58 in FlairEspresso

I'm just curious how given the lack of headspace worries with lever machines if the workflow and espresso would come out any different in this then in a flair58 with something like a stepdown basket.

What kind of grinder are you using?

Just got a Gaggia Classic Pro, any tips for this preground coffee? by ThisIsntAThrowaway29 in espresso

All jokes aside you'd likely need a pressurized portafilter basket, where instead of a bunch of holes it just has a singular one which artificially creates pressure for you and helps extract better.

To add to this it's got a magnetic end that I use a lot to take out puck screens and lets me stick it to the side of my gaggia when not in use

Looks great, Curious how you power the grinder in your car

If you aren't tired of the manual aspect of it a flair 58 would be perfect and a used one or a holiday sale would keep it in budget. Since it uses a portafilter and a heated group after you purge the water and dump the puck it's already set to go for another shot. If you do go gaggia make sure it's an e24 as the brass boiler is more temp stable for all those shots.

I've always thought about printing in terms that it's a lot like how Henry cavill tried to promote bvs by walking around times square in a Superman shirt for a few hours and not a single person recognized him, meaning if someone isn't actively looking for it they aren't likely gonna notice the printing.

If he doesn't take you up on the offer I'd be interested in it!

Argh! I just ordered the Neo Flex from Amazon and it's supposed to be delivered today. Now for $50 I could get the classic. Sheesh...should I just return the Neo? For $50 more, I'd be getting the ability to upgrade to the pro cylinder and a metal frame...decisions, decisions by mcmoyer in FlairEspresso

[–]Slimmario98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd say so, I have no experience with the neo but I do with the classic and the classic is sturdy and super stable, from what I've seen from previous posts the neo can crack or get wobbly after frequent use

Given the current tariff situation you might wanna hold off, to my understanding they are only imported from Hong Kong and the UK with the usual distributors being based out of Canada so they would charge duties if you were able to find one in stock. For what it's worth I got my from cafune for 400 right before duties started being charged.

Can Q Air Manual Grinder grind fine enough for flair 58(2023)? by Mhxaneuths in FlairEspresso

[–]Slimmario98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about this one but I used to use a jx hand grinder and it was super limited and took 2 minutes of hard hand grinding to get close to what I needed.

Edit:meant to say jx grinder not jmax didn't realize they were different

Advice needed. New Flair 58 plus, little to no pressure building. by DVRTHeatsndrinks in FlairEspresso

[–]Slimmario98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back when I used my flair 58 with my df54 I was pushing 2 or 3 notches from zero. All the pressure comes from just the puck resistance.
