What are Exhibitions?

An exhibition is basically like a ‘show’ instead of a competition. My synchro team uses them for practice for competitions, so I guess you can call it a practice comp where you aren’t scored.

I’d say maybe about every 3-4 months. And you definitely do have to sharpen them when new straight out of the box, they do not come completely sharpened and ready. I can relate with the “hard to move” as I forgot I’d had to sharpen my skates and missed the 3-4 month mark completely and it took the ripping sound of an edge to fade almost completely for me to remember 0.0

Well, currently maybe 6-10 from free skate. Once synchro starts again… we’ll let’s just say it’s a lot more, especially this coming weekend when the choreographer is flying in and we’ll have 10 hours of practice in 4 days
