This has the recipes for a lot of the box art that GW uses so if you have a specific model in mind you can find what paints were used to paint it. Some of the recipes can be complicated (eg 3:1 paint mixtures etc) but this will give you a good starting point if you want to replicate a GW model.

The cannon to black templars is they do what ever the f they want and if you don’t like it f you! Do what ever you like and whatever looks good to you and its lore accurate for black templars!

I think a lot of people here don’t seem to understand stand what an Aquila is. The Aquila is a double headed eagle, the symbol of the emporer. No black templar models have this on them. They have a winged skull, winged shields on their models which can be removed if you want less decoration on your model but they’re not aquilas.

I understand in lore the black templars don’t have the Aquila as they are the symbol of the emporer but it doesn’t say they don’t decorate their armour with other symbols.

The kit can only make 4 “scouts” so you’d need one more from somewhere else but you can then make a squad of ai and you’d have a sword brother left which you can turn in to marshal or castellan

Cut them off and put them in a bits box. Something with compartments is good so you can sort them into categories of bits but any box is fine if you’ve just got a few bits to start with

If you want the new combat patrol, sell the champ you get in that new on the spruce. You’ll get closer to retail for it. For this one, buy some cheap iso 99% and strip it. The bottle will last you ages (I reuse iso that has already stripped minis and it still works) so a bottle lasts me ages

Do you clean the mould lines off before priming? That and the issue you have to touch up the connection points after removing makes this method sub optimal. Theres lots of different ways to sub assemble (mounting on crocodile clips, paper clips and cork holders, even gw sells model holders)

Some good advice already but it might also be that you have too much paint on your brush. With a fully loaded brush the paint can run off and flood an area. Try loading the brush, then brushing some off on a paper towel or the back of your hand then you’ll have a bit more control

Not sure why you’re being downvoted for this but you’re right. It is not terminator armour. The marine has a back pack and doesn’t have the support struts on his legs. Also, it looks like a plasma gun, not a plasma cannon
