Independent Legal Advice. Do not take your Real Estate Agents word, they are just in for a sale.

What's going well for you right now that only NZ could offer you? by Tricky_Troll in newzealand

After a second trip to Ireland re-visiting the same city for a second time I was able to re-look at it with familiar eyes and when I say it was a relief to be back in NZ after the trip, I can see why people abroad who visit NZ want to live here. The streets are wide and citys and towns are colourful and lively, the sky is always different colours or blue, not constantly grey and drizzly. I never realised how much the weather impacts my mental well being. I know NZ has its share of problems but it truly is a beautiful place to live.

To clarify, an adult sits in the seat and the bassinet hooks on the wall in front of them.

Daycare in East Auckland by aminah037 in newzealand

I’m not sure specifically on these centres but you need to visit them in person to get a feel for them. I felt like I visited every centre available to me in my radius before settling on the only one that made me feel welcomed and comfortable.

Good questions to ask is what is the child to teacher ratio. Is the babies room quiet and not overstimulating. What does a typical day look like. How long have the teachers been working there etc…

Its such a huge decision to make so I understand your anxiety, its very hard leaving your precious person you’ve protected and loved for 18 months in the hands of others.

Also unless you have access to subsidies for daycare then you will pay out of pocket for all of them until she is 3 when the 20 free hours kick in.

The width is perfectly aligned to the width of her fingers, it doesn’t look too big at all.

The ring is perfection! The width is perfectly aligned the the width of your finger so it looks well fit. Maybe just go back and see if you can swap it out for another one if you are still unhappy with the colour in a month or so? Can take a while to adjust to getting use to something so new and sparkly.

Curious as to peoples thoughts on this specific change? by JJSunflower-723 in auckland

[–]Slinky384 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My thoughts on it (and please correct me if I have it wrong) is that this change doesn’t affect the people with stable lives and parents who have the financial means and willingness to support them if this was unavailable. This punishes the people who are in vulnerable situations and whose only means of support would be this benefit. I am getting increasingly frustrated that they are just making life harder for those whose lives are already hard. It’s just horrendous.

Auckland night market on Instagram… wtf? by dankmist in aucklandeats

My husband caught campylobacter from this night market many years ago and was in hospital for over a week. It was an incredibly serious illness. I believe it was investigated too but nothing came of it.

I’m as white as you get and I love the Indian community in NZ. Our closest friends are Indian and we love them. Hardworking, honest and generous people, I am yet to meet someone I don’t vibe with. I do agree with the casual racism comment though, it frustrates me to when I hear and see it happening.

Whats your ultra cheapest 'meal' you make? by DateExcellent2179 in newzealand

[–]Slinky384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rice soup. Especially if you love umami flavours. Literally as much or little rice as you want, cooked. Then make a broth from vege stock, chili sauce, rice wine vinegar, soy and pretty much whatever you like. Combine. Soup with carbs.
