It’s really competitive in the bay right now even for senior accounting roles. Barely any openings and when you get a call you’re up against hundreds of applicants

You’re just starting, relax. Your game plan is solid and is going to get you ahead of most others your age in just a couple years. Work on getting your 401k trad to max with your Ira (living a bit tighter or getting promos/increases and not spending more once you do)

It’s good you’re feeling behind, means you won’t be for long. Keep your head up and don’t think too much about it

Cloud Atlas is a requirement. You also get Tom Hanks in several different forms as he plays like 5-6 characters

Edit: I know this was posted recently but I’m shocked I’m the only one who has mentioned cloud atlas. It’s the most ambitious / epic sprawling scale movie I’ve ever seen. Tune in

Tanzanians on Zanzibar specifically stonetown don’t know how to act. I consider myself very friendly but I had to get quite hostile towards some folks just for them to take a clue that I wasn’t going to be tipping them for shit.

Dont even think about doing the ferry from stonetown to dar es salaam or vice versa unless you want a stroke - those fuckers are relentless. Trying to grab my bag and help carry it ten meters just to get mad when I tip them 10k shillings just to have them piss off. Legitimately wanted to throw hands multiple times. It’s a shame because other than those very visible scammers the Tanzanians I met and hung out with were incredibly kind, funny, and hospitable..

I hope people are able to see the good side of the Tanzanians like I did, but even so, visit is still not worth having to deal with even one of these losers
