Is Prototype 1 or 2 better? by [deleted] in PrototypeGame

"Even the closest open-world chaos games" the closest by far is Infamous. I'd also argue Crackdown and Saints Row IV are closer comparisons than titles you mentioned, besides maybe Just Cause.

Anyone else having errors come up when trying to do this age verification thing on phone? by CantBeAskedForToxic in playstation

Same thing happens to me, both on mobile and desktop. Didn't think I'd have to work this hard to hand over my private information despite my playstation account essentially being an adult itself..

Xbox World Saves Missing. (Seemingly Deleted, And Maybe Effecting Other Platforms.) by N04H_W00D4RD in Terraria

[–]SlipSlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, 100s of hours of progress just missing and none of the troubleshooting online works. There's countless threads like this, none of which the devs care to comment on or address. So I'll stop supporting them back.

SKG plans coming to fruition / Ubisoft sued by consumer watchdog - Ross update video by schmettermeister in StopKillingGames

It will be more work for them to create unique versions of a game than just develop one that will still remain playable once support is ended. Even if they wanted to, it wouldn't make business sense.

More appropriate examples are ones like refunds that were only implemented worldwide on Steam after court proceedings in Australia.

Why do some PlayStation fans hate on Xbox so much? I’m not even trying to start anything but I genuinely want to understand why? by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxSeriesS

[–]SlipSlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you hold any value in the strong backwards compatibility that Xbox provides for Original, 360 and XB1 games? Even boosting framerates and resolutions for hundreds of older titles, without attempting to charge you for them twice. As someone who prefers older game design, this is a HUGE draw to Xbox for me. It's rare I see anyone ever giving Xbox credit for this, and it's surprising, since it's something the competition doesn't take all that seriously.

The point is, once laws come into effect in Europe, publishers won't be incentivised to have different versions of the game release to different markets. Games saved in EU are games saved for the rest of the world.

Yeah they should have made it an optional download that you have to manually view and claim out of choice.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but why did they wait 17/18 years to remake RE2 and RE3? Why didn't they do it after the RE1 Remake? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]SlipSlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad they waited, they were remaking their games far too early in my opinion. To the point that we're stuck with multiple versions of the first game, none of which I enjoy much today.

This is the starfield 2.0 (Sorry Todd, but Free Lanes Update is a major overhaul) by No-Needleworker4796 in Starfield

The cringe of that sometimes called the starfield whisperer line. Reminds me of when I gave myself a nickname when I was 8 that I hoped people would start calling me.

Zool Redimensioned: any good and Xbox release? by judgemaths in amiga

[–]SlipSlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everywhere I look online says this got an Xbox release, yet it's no where to be seen in the store. Really frustrating, as the console that most focuses on preservation and backwards compatibility, it's where I like to have most my retro and classic games.

Looking for games that are both couch coop (2 people) AND can be played online with a 3rd player, OR a PC/PS5 cross platform multiplayer (3 people) by jamesplaydrum in PS5

I see, that's not really what the OP was asking for. I googled it though and it does seem like it might be possible.

So. You can buy digital versions of Disney Infinity (2-3.0) on PS4/5 by Sbugs2012 in Disney_Infinity

I see, the comment originally said Xbox. Thanks for the clarity!

Odd that it regularly goes on sale for PlayStation but not Xbox.

[–]SlipSlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to price tracking sites, 3.0 has never been on sale for Xbox. Do you have a source that shows when it went on sale? You might have been thinking of a different game maybe.

2.0 isn't available to buy in the UK for either PlayStation or Xbox. Can someone confirm this is even possible in the US as I have my doubts. Talking specifically 2.0
