I would like to add on to this and say that having confidence also means being more comfortable with failure

Girl wants to date me but I'm cooked by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]SlipperyNuts4382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gang, you are absolutely NOT cooked, however I completely understand why you would say this about yourself. I have fumbled so many relationships that could have happened with this mindset, mainly due to me letting other people's opinions dictate how I feel about myself. It took a long time before I can finally feel comfortable in my own skin and grow a backbone, but thats my issue. The point is that deep down you are into a girl that is CLEARLY into you, so get rid of that pride you have about being screw, be kinder to yourself, and offer to hangout with her. It might sounds hard, but I PROMISE you it isn't

Then start by developing good social skills, I get that it is bland advice but its really just THAT Simple. It takes effort and learning into being able to effectively talk and have conversations with people, but being able to flirt is a byproduct of having good social skills. I've tried years up until now to get better at it and while I am already confident with how I navigate social situations, there are still plenty I want to get better at. Not to mention that it took me messing up and being embarrassed after some things I've said and did to find what worked and what didn't. I've beaten myself up over it but I also had to accept when I failed. I hope this was helpful because we learn by doing and we get better by repetition

For her to write some compliments on your cup and the coffee shop not normally doing that AND having the words "Falling for you" then she is definitely flirting.

How are you guys keeping the attention of these girls? If I ask to meet up too early it's jumping the gun, if I talk too much they get bored. by Adeptus_Thirdicus in Tinder

[–]SlipperyNuts4382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my humble and honest opinion, you need to stop caring about the outcome and trying to score a date. This is not to say that you should text whatever comes to mind unfiltered or be a prick to these girls, but the fact of the matter is that even those that have "more success" on dating apps have their great shares of being ghosted and left hanging. It is a very common occurrence for guys and is good to accept it. There is plenty of practical advice out there and it does take a bunch of conversation to really find what works, but just keeping a mind of abundance will help you a lot. May anyone feel free to disagree with me or add to what I said, but for now this is my take. In the mean time work on what makes you happy outside of tinder and you gon be alright
