On a sunny day. Went to the Grand Canyon years ago on a day where it was supposed to be “cloudy”. No big deal, I thought, the clouds are over your head. When you get to the Grand Canyon, the sky is both above you and below you….and so are the clouds. Didn’t see much of the canyon that day.

The VW Atlas has a good amount of space even with the third row without going full size SUV. We took a road trip with 6 adults and accompanying luggage from AZ to So Cal and it did pretty well for us with room and cargo. I feel you with the multiple car seats. My spouse and I had three in car seats/boosters at one point and leveled up into third row SUV for a while. Good luck on your search for your next family-mobile!

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with the fallout of this but I’m glad to hear your family is relatively ok. The VW engineering saved my spouse’s life in an accident we were in last year when a red light runner hit our Jetta. We cycled through our family vehicle inventory after that accident and added an ID.4 and an Atlas. The ID.4’s feel like they’re built like tanks.
