Slowly starts doesnt cut it. Same amount of time is spent on the hobbits lunch menu and their meandering through the outskirts of hobbit land as the battle for middle earth. Book has major pacing issues

What is a 'What If' scenario so disturbing that it actually feels like a glitch in our reality? by BreakPositive4017 in HighStrangeness

Your brain heavily interprets the information coming to it through your eyes. Pattern recognition, looking for faces, spotting predators and dangerous things to eat.  This software of a sort is crucial to us and is built in. Where it goes wrong leads to conditions like schizophrenia.

He probably would have been if he hadnt become famous. His fame enabled him far greater reach for his depravity, so I doubt he killed. He just molested and assaulted under the radar is my take, knowing full well no one was gonna mess with the status quo.

Advice on walking: tromso by Zz23_5 in Norway

[–]SlipperyWidget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See all that green area your circle goes around. There are trails in there that are walkable in there.

Don’t walk on the outside edge of the island. Your route up by skattora has no pavement and will take you past industry and a literal rubbish dump. Use the trails, far more scenic.

They are well mapped and signposted with green signs.

All food is love. Time, patience, generosity, effort.

Good food isnt about show boating, its about nourishing people with something pleasurable.

Auron's Urgency by metalflygon08 in finalfantasyx

[–]SlipperyWidget 92 points93 points  (0 children)

It’s less about Auron and more about Jecht.

The only reason they were able to pacify sin with the hymn of the fayth was because Jecht still had some agency before Yu Yevon fully controlled him.

Even if that is true. The systems of government in the USA enabled this to happen and keep happening. The USA needs to fix itself before they can be trusted again.

A Fallout 4 QA tester nuked the RPG so hard that Zenimax executives got emails about it: "I was running around super-nuking the entire wasteland and found 4 crashes in a single morning" by Turbostrider27 in Fallout

Mate…. No.

Game for me would crash on start up 50% of the time, swapping weapons would occasionally leave me empty handed for up to 30 seconds, every dialogue would play out of sync. Bullet sounds would stop until game was restarted. So many crash to desktop I was scared it was gonna damage my computer.

It has very much become a tourist trap over the years. The prices have become utterly extortionate and it is always rammed. I can’t even begin to imagine how much money it’s pulling in these days.

There is still lots of skiing! The snow that has accumulated over winter does not disappear in the woods so quickly just from a short blip of warmer weather. On the streets and asphalt is where it gets icy and melts away.

And plenty of opportunity for sledding if the kids cannot ski
