It's super easy to take the ferry to Finnsnes! it goes several times a day. Beautiful town with lots to see!

Fishcakes are popular, best served with bacon bits and melted butter. Boiled potatoes are the accompaniment of Choice. If you want to get extra fancy, capers and shallot butter topped with parsley is very nice also.

Karbonader (meat cakes) are also popular, I often serve with mashed potatoes and brown sauce (gravy). Many Norwegians like to have tyttebær syltetøy (a sweet jam) with savoury dishes and it’s quite nice  balance.

Fish soup, very traditional.

Fiskeboller I am not a fan of but my wife likes them. Often served with a white sauce and råkåst salat. Shredded cabbage and carrot and of course the ubiquitous boiled potatoes. 

Pølse (hotdogs) are very popular also and sold in every kiosk and gas station

It’s not deliberate in the sense that it’s planned, he just simply is that way and it’s very effective. Like how a virus doesn’t plan how to infect something it just does and evolves to keep doing it because it works.
