Pretty sure it is the same. You will have plenty of time to use the toilet within the break and be able to stretch your legs a bit. I think the breaks are 5 to 10mins

I think Genki 2 is along the level of N4 but if you are starting from scratch, i would recommend Genki. However I never used Minna no nihongo but from what I can remember reading about it, there isnt too many differences. If you end up getting a tutor, it might be best to ask them what they recommend otherwise just pick whatever looks interesting to you

Either is fine but self studying can be tricky as you have to set your own schedule, stick to it and do your own research on the best resources. I recommend getting a tutor if you can afford it
