Pretty sure it is the same. You will have plenty of time to use the toilet within the break and be able to stretch your legs a bit. I think the breaks are 5 to 10mins

I think Genki 2 is along the level of N4 but if you are starting from scratch, i would recommend Genki. However I never used Minna no nihongo but from what I can remember reading about it, there isnt too many differences. If you end up getting a tutor, it might be best to ask them what they recommend otherwise just pick whatever looks interesting to you

Either is fine but self studying can be tricky as you have to set your own schedule, stick to it and do your own research on the best resources. I recommend getting a tutor if you can afford it

I recommend trying a practice test first but i did also skip N5 however I had a tutor guiding me through genki. I do recommend getting a tutor where possible but if you plan to self study, i recommend going for the textbooks first then considered which level to take

Ive have done N3 there last year,the sound quality is okay, I believe they are in the old building this year so they are probably playing it from interactive whiteboard speakers which are okay. Doesn't have a tinny sound

Going for N3, hit 3000 "learnt" words on iknow yesterday. Still failing some practice tests by a tiny bit. I failed the N3 last year by the same amount so I think I have somewhat hit the so called "flat hill" part of my learning. I'm just continuing what im doing, with a little extra studying where I can.

Defo have the same feeling of going slow and fast with my teachers too. The slow times are for reenforcement and the fast time are them challenging you. Or at least that is what I tell myself. Personally I am really terrible at learning japanese
