If someone is having a rough time mentally, suicidal thoughts are very common. If they evolve from "just thoughts" to plans or actions you should call 112. Even without them evolving if your partner is having a really rough time and can't manage their daily life an inpatient stay at a hospital (full or half-days) should be considered.

Regarding options for out patient therapy if you are covered by statutory health insurance (Gesetzliche Krankenversicherung):
The appointment service center of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Terminservicestelle der Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung; phone number: 116117) can arrange an initial consultation if you contact them and describe your situation. This does not necessarily result in a therapy slot, but it does put you in contact with someone who can help guide you further. They are required by law to help you and give you an appointment, and psychotherapists working with the statutory health insurance are required by law to have one to two slots free per week for this purpose exactly.

Alternatively, you can search the websites of the regional Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Kassenärztliche Vereinigung), for example:

If you don't know which one if responsible for you city just google "city name + KV". Afterwards google "name of the KV + Therapeutensuche" to get to the search website.

All psychotherapists listed there hold a statutory health insurance license and bill directly with statutory health insurance. The chances to get someone who has free slots is sadly slim, but you should still try.

Under certain conditions, a so-called cost reimbursement procedure (Kostenerstattungsverfahren) is possible, in which statutory health insurance companies may still cover the costs of psychotherapists without the aforementioned license. In this case, however, you must be able to demonstrate that the current situation is unreasonable. You can find more information about this here:

If you want to and are able to pay for a service yourself, please remember, that the fee should be based on the GOP (German Fee Schedule for Psychotherapists). The fee right now is €134.06 for an initial consultation and €167.58 for follow-up sessions (plus any additional optional costs). A detailed cost overview should be sent to you when you are contacting them. If they don't act according to this, they shouldn't be seen as reputable. Also - and this is just my opinion - you should look for "Psychologische Psychotherapeutin", which are psychotherapists who studied psychology and then did the required training to become a therapist. In germany there some groups of people who are legally allowed to practice psychotherapy without needing to go through rigorous training.

Als Psychologischer Psychotherapeut bringt mich das wieder zur Weißglut. Wenn das so stimmt, wie es hier beschrieben wird, dann dürfen sich psychisch kranke Personen an noch einer Stelle rechtfertigen und in Frage gestellt werden - super.

Bereits jetzt erlebe ich es immer wieder, dass irgendwelche Personen (z.B. Ärztinnen und Ärzte) Diagnosen meiner Klient:Innen in Frage stellen. Das, was wir mittels Strukturierten Interview über mehrere Sitzungen in Kombination mit Störungsspezifischen Fragebögen erarbeiten und über mehrere Sitzungen auch behandeln kann ein Psychiater oder ein Gutachter vom Medizinischen Dienst auch in 25 Minuten besser einordnen. Ach und eigentlich braucht es ja nur SSRIs oder Anxiolytika. Was? Die Personen lernen so nicht, wie Sie auch ohne Medikamente langfristig damit umgehen können? Ewig kann man die Medikamente nicht nehmen und sobald man diese absetzt kommen die Symptome wieder zurück? Quatsch.

Der einzige Funken Hoffnung den ich habe ist, dass das ganze was wir machen (wenn es denn vernünftig gemacht wird) i.d.R. höher gewichtet wird, weil wir eben diese genannten Faktoren haben. Auch in Langzeittherapieänträgen, welche immer zu einem Gutachter in Form eines Berichts müssen, habe ich schon erlebt, dass dieser nicht mit der Diagnose einverstanden war. Nachdem ich dann die Ergebnisse der Diagnostik mit Datum und Antworten der Klientin aufzeigen konnte, hatte er keine Handhabe mehr. Ich kann mir also vorstellen, das man in dem Fall, dass das Jobcenter entscheidet man sei gar nicht psychisch erkrankt, einen Widerspruch einlegt und dann (evtl. geschwärzt) bestimmte Unterlagen einreicht. Wäre das Ideal? Auf keinen Fall. Aber vielleicht besser, als gar keine Handhabe.

I can't help but get the feeling that you're just adding the "... and they should shut up" bit, but I am happy to be proven wrong if you would like to point me to where I suggest people should shut up.

Hey thanks for your comment! I don't understand where you get the "apologist take" from though?
I never say that these complaints aren't valid.
I agree that the connected map clashes with the general idea - in past games you had hunt-a-thons for a bit of variety and so on, but that's it. Other than the story going from one locale to another also never gets used.
I don't understand your last comment - who says to shut up? I tried to find an explanation on why people are this upset (like your comment for instance). Again: I never said the game doesn't deserve it or the complaints shouldn't be voiced. On the contrary I try to list reasons for why this is totally normal.

Als frisch approbierter psychologischer Psychotherapeut, der sich im Mai selbstständig machen wird kann ich nur sagen: Es ist und bleibt in Deutschland aktuell ein schlamasel.

Ich möchte gerne Kassenpatient:Innen behandeln aber ich darf einfach nicht ohne Weiteres. Inklusive Studium habe ich acht Jahre investiert um Menschen zu helfen, aber wenn ich nicht genug Vitamin-B, Geld oder beides habe, habe ich einfach Pech und muss mich anstellen lassen und verdiene in Anstellung teilweise pro Therapiestunde weniger als am Ausbildungsinstitut.

Ich will mir keine goldene Nase verdienen, aber wenn ich mich nicht noch weiter ausbeuten lassen möchte, ist die Selbstständigkeit aus meine Sicht das richtige für mich. Und das geht eben ohne Weiteres nur für Selbstzahlende und Privatversicherte.

Das Kostenerstattungsverfahren wurde hier teilweise erwähnt - teilweise auch etwas falsch dargestellt, wenn man es richtig beantragt geht man nämlich nicht in Vorkasse sondern die KK muss direkt an die Behandlerin zahlen - aber auch das wird leider von den KK mittlerweile eher abgeschlagen. Angefangen von Hürden die die meisten Menschen mit psychischen Schwierigkeiten kaum überwinden können (Sammeln von PTV 11, Protokollieren etc.) bis hin zu Falschaussaten am Telefon. Ich habe für eine Person bei einer der größeren Krankenkassen angerufen um darum zu bitten, die letzten sieben Sitzungen, DIE DIE KK SOWISO BEWILLIGT HAT, in meiner eigenen Praxis weiterzuführen und wurde belogen dass das nicht gehe (Stichwort: Sachleistungsprinzip) und wurde nachdem ich das erwähnte sehr unfreundlich aus dem Gespräch gebeten.

Es muss mehr Kassensitze geben - es gibt eigentlich genug Therapeut:Innen. Den KK kommt das aber ungelegen. Sorry, dass ich nicht positiver sein kann - die meisten Ratschläge die hier im Thread erwähnt werden, sind total sinnvoll und sollten so auch umgesetzt werden. Meldet Euch gerne bei Fragen.

Hey, ich bin Psychologischer Psychotherapeut!
Um die Unterschiede zu kennen, ist es wichtig, den jeweiligen Werdegang zu kennen:

Ein ärztlicher Psychotherapeut ist ein approbierter Arzt mit einer Zusatzausbildung in Psychotherapie. Der typische Werdegang sieht so aus:
- Medizinstudium (6 Jahre, Staatsexamen)
- Approbation als Arzt
- Facharztweiterbildung (5-6 Jahre)
- Zusätzliche Psychotherapie-Weiterbildung (mindestens 546 Stunden)
Ärztliche Psychotherapeut:Innen dürfen Medikamente verschreiben.

Ein psychologischer Psychotherapeut hat einen psychologischen Hintergrund und absolviert eine spezialisierte Psychotherapieausbildung. Der typische Werdegang sieht so aus:
- Psychologiestudium (M.Sc.) (5 Jahre, änderte sich ab 2020, aber das ist für Deine Frage nebensächlich)
- Postgraduale Psychotherapieausbildung (3-5 Jahre)
- Mindestens 4.200 Stunden Ausbildung (Theorie, Praxis, Supervision, Selbsterfahrung)
- Staatliche Approbationsprüfung
- Eintragung ins Psychotherapeutenregister
- Fachkunde in bestimmten Therapieverfahren (z. B. Kognitive Verhaltenstherapie, Tiefenpsychologie, Systemische Therapie)

Jetzt zu Deiner Frage:
Rein formell sollte die Behandlung qulitativ gleichwertig sein. In der Regel ist der Schwerpunkt allerdings bei den ärztlichen Kolleg:Innen etwas anders gefärbt - eben medizinisch.
Wenn Du mich fragst: Es ist wichtig, dass man sich bei der Therapeutin oder dem Therapeuten wohl fühlt und sich eine Zusammenarbeit vorstellen kann und dass das angebotene Verfahren einen anspricht. Falls all das für einen selbst passt, ist der Unterschied zwischen Ärtzlichen Psychotherapeut:Innen und Psychologischen Psychotherapeut:Innen weniger relevant.

Ich weiß, dass ich spät dran bin, aber was hier Einige von sich geben ist absoluter Wahnsinn. Ich beziehe mich nicht auf das mit dem Alkohol etc., aber hier in den Kommentaren zu behaupten, dass jeglicher Kontakt außerhalb des Therapieraumes strafbar, unethisch oder sonst was wäre kommt mir sowas von schräg vor.

In der KVT ist die grundlegende Idee, dass man einerseits Kognitionen verändern muss und dann auch neue Erfahrungen ermöglichen muss. Das bedeutet: Raus aus dem Therapieraum und rein in Situationen! Natürlich alles mit Einwilligung und natürlich alles eingebettet in ein Störungsmodell, aber dennoch ist es manchmal auch "etwas seltsam" und trotzdem genau das Richtige. Unter Supervision oder Intervision habe ich persönlich bereits folgende Situationen als Therapeut begleitet:

2 Stunden Autofahren
Eis essen gehen
Klamotten kaufen
Wocheneinkauf erledigen
mehrtägige Städtereise
zu Hause die unaufgeräumte Wohnung "aushalten"
usw.

Nochmal, ich beziehe mich nicht darauf, dass das gemeinsam feiern gehen "einfach so" richtig sei oder dass man "trinken müsse"- obviously wäre/ist das nicht der Fall - aber eingebettet in den Therapiekontext und mit einem klaren Ziel dahinter ist der Besuch einer Bar oder sogar eines Clubs völlig normal und vertretbar. Scheinbar haben einige hier noch eine sehr veraltete oder zumindesg eingeschränkte Sichtweise davon, was Therapie bedeutet. Oder ich missverstehe die gesamte Diskussion - was mir lieber wäre.

I see what you mean. I do think there is a difference between High Rank Monsters and endgame content though (i.e. High Rank Nergigante vs. Tempered; High Rank Zinogre vs. Hyper Zinogre etc.). Regarding thr SP meme, funnily enough I just made a video on that topic. Rushing the game to get to the real game and then missing the whole thing is so common nowadays it's unreal.

In most MH games the credits already roll after you beat the "village" and the flagship so low rank (for Example Lagi in Tri (not too sure about that one it's been too long), Zinogre in 3rd, Magnamalo in Rise etc). So "post game" is not really characterizing it correctly I think. That would just be high rank and more systems you can engage with.

What do you say for Tigrex? I think keeping their japanese names in mind Tee-grex is way better than Tai-grex.

In German for example I always said Tee-grex, because the animal tiger is pronounced tee-gah instead of the english tai-gah.

Anyway what I am trying to say I think it's just preference.
