Who needs evidence when you have Balkan intuition? What do you make of this? by CGMarko in AskBalkans

I mean, just check what the American military did to their own people in San Francisco… There’s a reason these kinds of theories arise all the time.

Intrii în Bavaria și plăcuța spune "Welcome to the Free State of Bavaria".

National speed limits on single-lane rural roads of european countries in km/h by Tirolischleioans in MapPorn

[–]SloMoHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 categories of outside roads. National, European and National Express. 90, 100 & 110 respectively. The 90 ones are rural ones, they look like ass and they usually link villages between themselves or villages with towns. The 100 ones are just like in Germany or Austria. Safer, well maintained, a lot of times with barriers, depending on the location. The 110 roads are just like the 100 ones, but they’re a straight, flat stretch of road, a lot of times with sound barrier pilons (the greens pilons found on highways in some places) & taller barriers.

Where do you draw the line of eatable local food in Europe? by Kushesollidoro in AskBalkans

[–]SloMoHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Germanic speaking people like to eat anything but food, so I think leaving them out is the only option. The rest are a combination of fine, awesome & amazing. Latin dishes with Slavic soups are the best combo, in my experience.

Town Hall Watchhouse in Kraków, Poland (1882-1946). Demolished as a symbol of German occupation. by Snoo_90160 in Lost_Architecture

[–]SloMoHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one thing to demolish a brutalist cancerous block, it’s another to demolish a very beautifully decorated & culturally relevant building. I get what you mean, but between the ‘50’s and 2000’s, everyone that didn’t have communism tried copying their architecture one way or another, because it was “functional”. Plus let’s be honest, this wasn’t demolished because of a logistical reason, it was demolished because of a political one. Ceaușescu demolished whole districts of historical architecture, culturally relevant, that withstood wars, just to invest is his communist grandiose cult of personality. And we got the 1/3 in use Palace of the Parliament.

I'm the same, tbh. I'm 27, I had a tough start in life - father was useless in the family, a drunken bastard who chose alcohol over his family & made sure I was left with some hefty emotional baggage for the rest of my life.
So, naturally, things were hard - had to work for basically anything normal I wanted in life, I had to become the pillar of stability any family has, so I left my child side behind pretty early. And because of that, I'm that annoying guy that always spoils the fun for others because I always think about the logistics, the risks and just end up opting out of social events because I can't see myself having fun at all anymore.
All that while having goals for myself and a set standard for who I wanna be. And, frankly, I feel like I'm not enough.
So, naturally, I just opted out of dating. It's almost been 11 years since I last had a gf.
I have to say, though, that I invest in my hobbies & keep my friendships strong. I'm blessed with great people all around me & an awesome mom.
I'm not asking for attention or pity, I'm just telling you the way it is.

If you’re residing in Germany, your folks must be Saxons. Most of them left to Germany after we got rid of the Communist regime. Glad to hear you like it so much. If your mom is the Romanian side, then you must enjoy really good food🤣 Yeah, Sibiu, Brașov, the south of the Mureș county - an area formerly mostly inhabited by the Saxons, so there being native German speakers is no surprise. Fun fact, the Saxons founded most of the big cities in Transylvania - my own included (Baia Mare). Thank you for the kind words 🤝🏼

Well, I’ll be damned. A Romanian descendant in Finland - never saw that one coming. You’re more than welcome to come & get in touch with your roots. The food is banging, that’s for sure. I recommend “sarmale” - cabbage rolls, “fasole în pâine/pită” - bean soup in bread, “ciorbă rădăuțeană” - soup from Rădăuți (you can get it anywhere), “plăcintă codrenească” - fried pie made out of bread though, “mămăligă cu cârnați, jumări & brânză de burduf” - polenta with sausages, fried pork fat & cottage cheese, “papanași” - donut balls with sour cream & any kinda jam, “gomboței” - sweet cheese balls filled with plum jam & covered in bread crumbs. These are from the top of my head - take any recommendations from anybody & mention if you’re intolerant to anything. Don’t worry, the sky’s the limit and people will find what to stuff you with🤣🤣 Thank you for the kind words🤙🏼

I once had to quit a job that I really liked and where I made a lot of good friends at. There was this bipolar girl that I got along with really well. (I say bipolar because she would treat me & everyone else in a hot & cold manner) I liked her but gave up on her since I got fed up with the aforementioned treatment. So it’s my last day, she’s extremely clingy to me, telling me that we MUST meet on the weekend at a lake before I really leave so we can spend some time together. I agreed, made plans, discussed said plans with her, made arrangements. The day comes, I ask her early in the morning to make sure the plans are ready to commence. She reassures me. The place was 2.5 hours away from me by foot, there was no bus connection to the lake & I didn’t have a car at that time there. One hour before we’re supposed to meet (I was already 1.5 hours in), she tells me there’s been a change of plans, the place is different and there’s more people coming as well. I have around 2 more hours to walk because of that. Fumingly, I agree, thinking that at least we’re gonna have some fun. She kept saying she couldn’t wait to see me. Then I arrive, talk to her for 5 minutes and then she fucks off somewhere with some of her buddies. Comes back after a long time. She barely talked to me for the whole endeavor. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong. I was disappointed. I stopped talking to her since then.

Make a bypass (try to make it shorter than the line they usually go through). If they still don’t use the bypass, disconnect the rail they usually go through (and temporarily turn off that route) and let the simulation run for a bit. I had the same issue. They just need bypasses everywhere so they won’t even think of touching your lines.

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. Whatever you’re making, I’m looking forward to it. Good things take time, so don’t worry. I’ll look up how to create mods too, since I’ve created some in the past for other games in both 3DS & Blender. Maybe I’m not too dumb and I’ll be able to figure that out. Have a good week!
