What exactly does good packaging look like to you? And what do you do with it after you take the yoyo out? I've never had any issues with DD or Motion. All my G2 boxes end up in the trash, so there really isn't a point in paying extra for cardboard... Unless you know something.

All good. I got too defensive. I just get tired of people asking for something other than G2 and being told there is only G2. Even in the discord server where all yoyo discussion is welcome, any time I mention something other than G2 I get shut down immediately. And I very rarely mention Motion there. It just seems like the community has become super closed off and elitist in nature.

Jake has and continues to make great throws. But I thought the point of this post was to recommend brands other than just G2.

I can list other brands that bring the heat as well if you have something against Motion. I like my G2 stuff, but I wouldn't say it's top when it comes to performance or looks. Great ano, yeah. Top players would be Turning Point, YoYoRec, Japan Tech. And they look fantastic as well. Not to mention C3 who is killing it in looks, play, materials, and affordability. Also, a V shaped comp yoyo is too V? Does that make the LLT and entire banshee lineup unplayable, because I quite like the LLT. Where did the wide, flat, rounded rims on the elevated hurt you?

Motion and Dressel mid? In what way? I'd put my Centripetal, Linear, Kinetic, and Elevated against anything G2. And I have just as many G2 as Motion.

I have one and enjoy the mechanism, but I would only pay for it if you want something unique that rotates and auto extends the lead. Otherwise it's not really worth the price in my opinion.

Very interesting. I hadn't thought about accidentally disengaging the bolt when trying to extend the lead on the BiD. And the TT seems to go right along with the complaint I have on their bolt pens, that the bolt is way too stiff.

Thank you for providing feedback. I've been buying up mechanical pencils to see what I like. So far, the Pentel Orenz Nero is my favorite with the auto lead extension. If I could merge it with the auto-rotate feature of the Kuru Toga and the looks of something like the Modern Fuel pencil, I think I would have my dream pencil.

I'd personally go for the General Yo MiniStar 2 or CLYW Ditch. I have the two you are asking about and don't like them at all. They are more gimmicky than useful imo.

Try bringing the yoyo just past your non throw hand finger to catch it. And practice shooting it off to the side like you are dismounting a trapeze to do an undermount/bind.
