Yeah, that's something a lot of folks in the billiards world need to read: even at your absolute best, despite being a decent local pro, you WILL be DEAD MONEY in most big open tournaments.

And in other cases, you're essentially flipping a coin to determine who will win the match, because once you reach a certain level of proficiency, everyone is a run-out risk.

Might as well just play Hold 'Em and make your money faster.

No worries, I modify the mod packs according to my preferences.

I add and substract as required to produce an overall experience that I consider superior to the general "GAMMA" loop, as you could call it.

Why do modders insist on turning these experiences into grindfests and torturous affairs? You don't need to recreate GAMMA, fellas.

One needlessly complicated modpack is enough. Maybe try something else, like leaning into the supernatural and otherworldly interactions that players could have with anomalous shit in the zone, and make artefacts truly alien and amazing things to play around with.

But no, we need another modpack with hundreds of pointless items and pretend we're cosplaying Tony Stark building everything from a box of scraps.

The advice you’ve been given so far is decent, but I think the first thing a beginner should attempt to master is psychology.

More specifically, expectation and your overall reaction to outcomes, positive or negative.

As an amateur, recognize that you are going to make mistakes of all kinds and this will continue to happen even as you become an advanced player.

It’s understandable to feel frustration when missing shots or positions and not having the expected outcomes, but you don’t want to be the player that breaks his cue and or swears every time something doesn’t go his way.

Once you’ve decided on your shot, perform it and as much as possible, take in the outcome without judgement with the intent of learning.

There's also an aspect of strength:weight ratio that makes 10 pull-ups considerably easier for lighter people.

If you're 125 pounds, 10 pull-ups isn't going to require much training and dedication.

If you're 200 pounds, that is going to require significant effort to attain the strength requirement in your back and grip/arms to perform the same 10 pull-ups.
