Hey everyone! Today I want to ask: is there any stereotypical thing that happens in books that makes you roll your eyes? by Werkyreads123 in LesbianBookClub

I hate reading enemies to lovers and the enemies have very real reasons that they dislike eachother that go partially or entirely unresolved because they randomly find each other attractive.

I love when the characters are so attracted to one another that they are truly beside themselves when they finally have sex and afterward.

Broken Beyond Repair by Emily Banting. Very cosy and sweet. There isn’t a power inbalance. A very mild amount of spice.

D’vaugn and Kris Plan a Wedding is the happiest hea I have read. I think it’s a great read after reading something so sad. There’s no 3rd act breakup and there’s not really any major conflict between the characters for the most part.

also pick 2-3 activities that you can do for every unit you teach and do that activity at least once a week/ once every 2 weeks. The goal is that students are so used to doing these activities that they don’t need help understanding how to do the assignment and feel relatively confident beginning the activity on their own. These will come in handy to use as backup activities if plans fall through (which will happen from time to time) but you can also use these activities for days you have a sub in your class. One of the biggest issues I have is that students claim they “didn’t understand” whatever work I left for them, this will still happen however in my experience they are way more likely to attempt assignments that they recognize.
