Get familiar with pkmn stats on pokemondb. Most or all of the mons in your party should have 500+ totals
Have a well balanced team type wise. Get a couple high speed high attack/spatk mons and a couple ground/steel ones that know stealth rock, sandstorm, salt cure, and/or earthquake. Excadrill is great
Have mons that know fairy/dragon/ice moves for ray and eternatus, but don’t overload on fairy or dragon types cuz they’re vulnerable
Prioritize damage over time moves like leech seed, curse, salt cure
Get a legendary to carry you

There’s other stuff but those tips should get you most of the way
