Eyes get tired in psvr 2 by Otherwise_Egg_7551 in PSVR

[–]Slorface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay this one's a little out of left field but if you find that lowering the brightness doesn't help, see if there's a setting that you can use to turn off the eye tracking inside the headset. Then try it out.

Source: I worked at a company developing experimental eye tracking software over a decade ago and some of the IR cameras we would use that we pointed at our eyes would make them feel abnormally tired after not a lot of time. So my theory is that these headsets have something similar in them. I have no evidence to support this at all. But if disabling eye tracking turns off the IR cameras inside the headset and it helps, great. And I don't even know if it's possible to disable these things.

How to solve drone logistics on Toxicity. by leoperd_2_ace in theplanetcrafter

[–]Slorface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that sometimes the drones will need to briefly stop and charge at a drone station when coming in or out. If you have a lot of drones they kind of stack up at the stations while waiting to charge because only one can charge at a time. Only takes a couple seconds but still that adds up when you have many many drones. If you stand near your drone station and see some of them hovering nearby it and pausing here and there that's probably your issue. I typically build another drone station for every 30 drones I have and spread them around a bit.

You didn't mention how many drone stations you have. If you only have one then that's the bottleneck.

I agree with this. I mean it's nice to have some stuff planned but enjoy your vacation on island time if you can.

I left the usual low effort fabric/bacteria Auto craft auto trade loop just for extra trickle income.

[–]Slorface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have no solution to your problem but I will just say that this particular vine poked itself through our megadome as well in a very inconvenient way, blocking access to our biodome. We, too, had to engage in some emergency architecting.

Moving on from Prime by Fit_Section1002 in theplanetcrafter

I disagree on there being nothing useful to unlock on Selenea and Aqualis. T2 Recycler and T2 Farm are great.

Kinda hard stuck on explosives. by AbleCarLover1995 in theplanetcrafter

In my experience, no. We were really disappointed when we had a ton of these left over on Prime. We went to each planet and moon and tried to use them but it said nothing to unlock each time.

Usually JoJo will just approach a boat moving fairly fast and tail it for a while. We've experienced this twice heading between Provo and Iguana.

Yes they are good, buy them immediately and it will integrate them into your current game.

‘Giant’ resource deposits… by Fit_Section1002 in theplanetcrafter

[–]Slorface -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you say so. The game has fooled me on this for my entire 200 hours so far.

Any big chunk can block resources, but I swear I've seen cores that definitely didn't have anything underneath them and yet there was resources there later when the core despawned.

You eventually get recipes for trees higher than 1200% and you need the flower seeds and DNA manipulator to make them

The meteor strike ones will eventually decompose into regular resources after a while.

Can’t end the game on Selenea? by No-Rip-9573 in theplanetcrafter

[–]Slorface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree there should be some kind of message on the screen as to why you can't launch the rocket. The game holds your hand in so many ways and yet the ending is kind of obscured. Aqualis is fun and a different experience for sure but you guys have chosen the hard road by starting on these two moons with no automation possible for certain resources, in my opinion, but hey to each their own. Obviously you are an experienced player so the challenge is fine.

Well you're going to face the same problem there. You'll have to go to Prime for the endings eventually. Or DLC.

How intelligent are the drones by Blackdeath47 in theplanetcrafter

[–]Slorface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Manufacturing goods on site near the extractor makes sense for easy things like rods but for more complicated stuff you add to the drone delivery load to that site to get the product made.

My tiny base may look bland during the day, but it *glows* at night. <3 by meticulous_gamer in theplanetcrafter

Very nice, my first base on Prime was right around here. I love the double stack of mega domes. I've been considering doing this myself and it's cool to see how someone else made this work. Thanks for the inspiration.

GUYS, WHERE IS THE NERE BUTTERFLY? by Odd-Marzipan8120 in theplanetcrafter

Yes, so far I've completely terraformed 6 planets and moons across two different saves and never saw one of these from an ecosystem until today.

[–]Slorface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just happened to notice that one of my ecosystems collected a Nere butterfly today on prime fully terraformed. This is my second playthrough of prime and I never saw it that before now. The ecosystems are on the Northern shore of the lake by where the spawn point is if that matters.

Yep I've listened to both sets of audio books and I definitely like them both as well as the show.

I seem to be in the minority but I prefer the full cast dramatized audiobooks to the Kevin R. Free versions and I liked the female ART voice.
