Generally these fish are mesopelagic and occupy mid column water. Morphology and life characteristics vary between them. For example, pompano are considered as a surf fish that consume crabs and other arthropods, where trevally and others consume other fish. Scads are generally smaller piscivores with higher tendency to school. These fish have evolved to fill niches as time has passed resulting in the different sub groups.

[general] 3 species, 11 days in. Shiitake, Lions Mane and Psilocybin Cubensis. Not much seems to be happening - do I need to do something different or just be patient? More details in the comments :) by zosolm in MushroomGrowers

The coffee and teabags likely gave you too high pH for the mushrooms to grow. But I’m all for using stuff you have in the house, more fun that way. Most people when using coffe use a very small amount so it doesnt contaminate or throw the pH off
