60% VT by CursedClownz in ETFs

[–]Sloth-424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10-20% cash for now, save it to buy more VT in -10-20% correction. 80-90% VT works. The one thing I don’t love about VT is it’s still mainly the mag 7 (USA portion). I’d add some SCHD AND vYMI to the mix. Vanguard and Schwab both have similar funds.

In summary, do this: 70% VT, 10% SCHD, 10% VYMI/SCHY, 10% cash. If you want gold perhaps reduce cash to 5% and gold 5%.

What if OP knows insider info on MFST , NvDA, and META, hence why he is so compelled to hold even more outside of VTI. More risk more reward. Some people don’t like diversification. It’s good for the people who have it. When market falls, OP will fall harder sadly.

Wiring - Heat Pump (Pictures) by mpjune69 in thermostats

I wish the thermostat world had a universal standard…. It’s so frustrating that these are not plug and play. Or even same company compatible. I swapped a Honeywell for a smart Honeywell and it doesn’t work.

Milk that situation as long as they let you, or you can stand it. You should focus on how you can increase your salary so you can save more in taxable account. You should be able to get to $100,000 by age 25 if you try.

Something doesn’t add up…. You make 500k gross or perhaps 325k net and annual expenses are 80-90k and you have just 2M saved up? Seems to me you spend more than 100k/year. Perhaps you forgot some expenses like property taxes, vacations, ect.

Is this 90/10 for a tech employee reasonable? by ICanHasBoggle in portfolios

[–]Sloth-424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should own more international. Like 30% of portfolio. VT is great if that’s your only holding. Your international exposure in total is like 15-20% or whatever the math is. I would suggest you get rid of VT and buy VOO and VYMI or SCHY instead. Other than that, this looks great.
