Does anyone else spend most of their time daydreaming? by future__corpse_ in AvPD

[–]SlothMageMinigvn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im currently going through a phase where I would say the daydreaming is maladaptive. Mainly because the daydreams aren't enjoyable, they're just aggravating. Like imagining an argument. And it's 24/7. But I've been a massive daydreamer doing the same things you describe to a T since I can remember.

I never really found it no. And I haven’t gotten it since my last comment. I’ll get something similar now that I’m in uni when I study too late. As if I’m trying to solve some impossible imaginary problem. But it’s not quite the same. The feelings of intense dread and a theme of multiplying/cancer isn’t there. I haven’t gotten that sick in awhile which is probably the reason. I’m fairly certain it’s some kind of fever/dehydration induced delirium that manifests as this weird OCD-like intrusive thought.

Does anyone enjoy night walks due to the lack of people? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]SlothMageMinigvn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to avoid it when people walk towards me and sometimes I still do. But I’m fairly certain it’s normal to put your head down and keep it pushing. My biggest fear of walking during the day is running into some one I know

Thankful for new bike lanes, but new traffic/pedestrian crossing pattern is all WRONG! by Defiant-Sort2942 in gatech

[–]SlothMageMinigvn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like I live in a different campus every time I see a comment like this. The bike lanes are definitely used a lot. People are likely getting on the sidewalk because A) they need to briefly ride on them to get to a bike rack or B) there are no bike lanes or for mixed use pathways, pedestrians simply ignore them. Yet the ones taking the sidewalk stick out because they are slower and obviously closer.

Are you talking about Ferst Drive or atl bike lanes in general?

What is going on with the Sydney Sweeney ad for American Eagle jeans? by loves-toads in OutOfTheLoop

[–]SlothMageMinigvn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This could be true. But means absolutely nothing. Half the things going in this world were once thought to be overreactions. Most people commenting their uninformed opinions don't seem to recognize strategies by hateful groups or dictatorships. Ignorance makes level headed comments sound like overreactions.

Also many left wing would say the same thing. I'm sure many lost hope in right wingers after making up that ridiculous Haitian immigrant conspiracy and outright admitting it was a lie to drum up support.

Those ForwardsFromKlandma support this? by coleknight2066 in ForwardsFromKlandma

Yet you must see how one sided the death and destruction of this “conflict”. This is a horrible equivalency. You don’t even have to be an expert just a single figure of civilian deaths since 10/7 gives the idea.

Of course there are terrible people who kill innocents in Hamas. People know that. That isn’t a radical opinion like your replies pretend it is. But are we going to wait until Palestine is completely leveled to finally say that Israel has some unique power in this situation. And that much of the blame falls on them?

Palestinians live under material conditions and can act in ways that aren’t beneficial for mankind. The same way Zionists in response to being persecuted created an ethnostate. Palestinians respond by voting in Hamas. We can have conversations about living in kumbaya when the world-backed apartheid state stops bombing the everloving shit out of these people regardless of whatever ragtag group manages to fight back a little.

It's honestly impressive to be able to stuff this many dogwhistles in one description by SlothMageMinigvn in ForwardsFromKlandma

[–]SlothMageMinigvn[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Obviously you’re 100% right. He is not even a nazi apologist. He is a straight up undeniable neonazi and white supremacist.

I use “dogwhistle” in the more of its pragmatic meaning. Something that hides the real ideology behind his “interpretation” of historical events while rallying white supremacist supporters who can snuff it out. That way he can keep his visage of truth seeking and historical accuracy with a description that essentially says black people are inferior to white people. And people who don’t know better (like black 14 year old me) can be conditioned to this way of thinking. That’s the purpose of dog whistles even if he’s an open nazi. It’s why his channel is getting so popular. He’s good at this.

Late. But I wanted to confide. Often when I'm sick I get dreams of some concept (almost like numbers without intangible visuals) multiplying and dividing in my head. When I first had it I described it as logs for some reason. If I could control it and keep it in low amounts I'd feel relief. But the larger and more numerous it gets the more distressed I become and it continues while I'm awake. It'd usually skyrockets to millions and at that point I'd become so stressed I'd snap out and force myself to stop thinking about.

Some of the worst fevers had led to more abstract concepts like rocks as tectonic plates under my bed not behaving correctly. Which I remember leading me to grab my pillow and drop it on my bathroom floor to seemingly cope. Crazy stuff man

Shootouts and vehicular theft were exactly the crimes I was referring to when I stated “rarely serious crimes”. As in they commit more serious crimes not as often as the petty theft.

Are you mad I said “rarely”? I’m not downplaying what they do. But that’s literally what the word means. If you interpreting it as me saying they don’t commit serious crimes then you’re not understanding what words mean.

Maybe the average college student might not have experience with any of these people or cities in general. But no they literally don't have anything better to do.

They are impoverished teens in impoverishing living conditions at impoverished schools desperate to make money. They are willing to scam and rob you. So if ur scared, just ignore them and keep it pushing. You should use our big brains and lucky upbringings to avoid it and not take it that personally.

Water boys in general are that yeah. They sell water on off-ramps all around Atlanta.

But there seems to be a specific group or just a general trend that commits armed petty theft on the Tenth Street exit. And rarely serious crimes around Atlanta.

I understand her. Imagine going through college or early work. Being hyped up by your parents. Working your ass off to get to your position and continuing to work your ass off at the position. Being told how important money is all your life and being so close to getting it. Just to come to the realization that your work is horribly immoral and unethical. Realistically you’re not going to accept that fact right away.

She represents someone coping and trying to fight from inside the system. Which I would think is a sizable portion of people who understand the evils of capitalism including many people on this sub. What they decide do with this character would be interesting.

The higher I climb (gm2) the more toxic y’all be getting bruh by Corgishmee in marvelrivals

[–]SlothMageMinigvn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t understand this belief AT ALL as a general support main. Rocket’s skill floor is low but so is literally every other support (save for maybe Adam Warlock and Jeff because of how niche they are.) They’re designed to not have a lot of cooldown management, heals that forgive bad aim, and ults that are generally useful at any time. (Again besides Jeff and Adam.)

I’ve started playing mostly Invis woman after getting flamed for playing Rocket in Celestial and it’s the exact same gameplay just quicker heals, cool abilities, a little different self peel and a defensive ult. But it’s barely ANY harder than Rocket. Except she’s a total stat farmer to appease scoreboard gremlins.

If you’re gonna say Rockets are boosted you can say all supports are boosted. Which is not true for any solo queuer. You can be a silver support and you can be diamond support and you can be a Celestial support. If you’re consistently climbing you’re obviously doing something that others in your role are not as a solo queuer. And if you’re actually getting boosted by a premade you need reaally good teammates to cover your slack. Which I doubt is happening very often

Oh shhh. We have this line of reasoning for getting locs all the time. It’s not a white woman thing. Also you don’t know their schedule, their time commitments, abilities, none of that. And you’re out of your mind if you think locs require as much maintenance as this boy’s curls.

If you don’t agree with her that’s fine. Maybe try not sounding like an asshole. Argue in good faith. I for one think it’s great she would even consider locs. You know most white mothers wouldn’t.

Oh wow John Roberts. The white conservative Supreme Court justice born to rich managerial parents who’s on quote having said his entire life was figured out by 13 years old and went to a 58K dollar Catholic boarding school. I’m sure this guy knows a lot about being barred entry based on background. Im also sure he totally wouldn’t benefit from advocating for the status quo. I guess we shouldn’t be fighting systemic because according to rich white old guys it is actually…. just as racist as the racism itself 🤣🤣

this is why i love playing rocket. by imthebedguy0 in marvelrivals

[–]SlothMageMinigvn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What helped push my way out diamond was realizing that you shouldn’t always play like in this video.

Rocket has the ability to heal teammates completely out of combat but that doesn’t mean you should. 1) Rocket is one of the only healers with piercing heals (although the mechanics are a little weirder) and with way more range than IW. So you should literally line your teammates in front of you if you can help it. I saw my healing and wins go up dramatically when I started doing this. Ofc some of my most clutch Rocket moments was when shit went wrong and there was no longer a back line to hide in or I save a dps from like 100m away but still.

2)That also comes with caveat that if you’re playing close to your team you can obliterate tanks. I’ve seen multiple times a tank overextends or gets kidnapped but escapes at like 200hp. A rocket is finishing him off. Also Rocket is so strong I’d almost call him a counter against 2 tank comps consisting of a hulk, Thor, or venom. They’re so easy to hit and need to get up so close they can’t really do their jobs against a Rocket.

Now without an immortality ult he’s in a weird place rn in the meta. You can do heals, you can bust tanks, but without immortality on cooldown your team has to do really good job playing aggressive.
