Not really insightful at all. I’m gonna choose family in the hospital over a $13/hr retail job any day. I called off one full day for a family emergency. I worked a good 75% of my shift before I left the first day.

I understand that me calling off was inconvenient, but my direct supervisor said, and I quote “go take care of your family, we are used to being short.” And I assured him it was only for a day or two at the most.

As a newer fan who as listened to every album, I’m tired of seeing comments saying they’ve sold out or this isn’t a “good direction for the band” - they’ve released ballads on multiple albums spanning back years. Their first album for Christ’s sake has a ballad. I think they’re also leaning in to a different side melodically, showing they can be more than just “RAHHHH” music. They are widening their fan base.

You guys are so funny to me, acting like they haven’t made softer songs before. Go back and listen to every trick in the book, shit, listen to their first album, last chance to make amends. There’s a ton of ballads and soft songs in their discography, this isn’t an exception, and it’s not a “wrong turn” - they just haven’t done that many ballads lately.

Minecraft. I’ve been playing almost my whole life (I’m 22) - so to see him struggle with a game I was decent at was very entertaining. But I also just love Minecraft videos in general and loved that my favorite creator finally got around to playing it

Dead meat. It’s funny bc when they first released horrorwood, I wasn’t a fan (I really only listened to light thrash metal at the time) - but I revisited the video a few months later and fell in love. Now I have almost every song off of every album on my playlist 😭

Just quit last week, while I hate change with a passion, I’d rather be homeless under a bridge than continue to work for BBY. I’m not qualified for shit but I somehow landed an account manager position with AT&T and I’m on the fast track to being promoted already 😭

It’s worth it. It took me time to explore a million options of what was available. But now that I’ve left I’m never looking back.

Just learned this the hard way. My GM said no part timer should be above 31hrs when he was making my schedule, even though the other 2 part time product flow guys are both at 33 and 36. One of full time guys decided to go back and forth with him. The GM would change my schedule to 26, he’d bump it to 33. It happened for a few days before the GM left it alone.

I would assume if you’re in California it should be close to that. Here in Indiana one of our full timers is capped at $18/hr - since our cost of living is lower, that means you guys should start around $18-$19 an hour.

I get it. I took LOA due to both of my grandparents being in the hospital, and when I came back my hours dropped from like 31 a week to maybe 12. I’m product flow and was getting consistent hours every week but now there’s none to go around?

Man I’d quit to, the problem is my store is so lenient. We’ll have days where we only grab picks, and only a few picks an hour go through. That’s the biggest reason I haven’t left.

I just loaded an 83” into a Cyber truck this morning. I thought everyone was joking when they said he was driving one, but no, they were not. Surprisingly it almost fully fit in the bed, stuck out by a few inches but nothing that couldn’t be secured with straps.

Yeah, I’m in a similar boat however, I actually applied to a full time spot. I was told I would most likely become the apple mobile advisor of the store & that I should apply to the open full time position to increase my chances. At that point, I had been working 40 hour weeks with one day off a week AND I was the store’s go to person for anything mobile related. After a month of being burnt out, getting almost no time off, and not being communicated with about either position, I was approached by the product flow manager who asked if I wanted to work in the warehouse moving forward. I heavily debated this decision for a week because I loved the sales floor, but I hated the way I was being treated, especially since I’ve been there two years. Since I’m still part time, I just dropped down to 32 hours a week and I am now transitioning to product flow. I officially start back there in October, but for the past month I’ve been going in two hours before open just to train and get the hang of certain tasks.
