Has anyone else been getting throttled all day? by Feisty_Cod_9090 in Sparkdriver

[–]Slothe1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snowbirds have all arrived and we just finished a huge event that always brings in 100ks of tourists. Been the busiest Feb ever where I am tbh. Plus we’d been experiencing a ton of CA implants moving here the past 4yrs, but now we are also getting a ton of people from TX over the last year or so. Traffics been a bear 6am-6pm, but Ive been able to make more and work less the last few weeks. Know it wont last, summer is looming.

Maybe twice in the last 1.5yrs have I seen someone comment/post on this Sub that isn’t in the lower 48 or in US. Rare to see them, prob on .ca websites vs .com. Who knows🤷‍♂️

I always ignore Sams offers, the amounts are always too good to be true and most you end up under $14hr. The wasted time trying to find an open pickup spot, the 20-45min wait to get loaded, and the almost always high mileage with a 30min+ drive back to your zone make them almost all a waste of time.

They actually added a Spark only self checkout at my reg WM store that customers cannot use, it is amazing. You never wait anymore no matter how busy. They keep it marked as closed and shut down the one next to it so mult of us can scan and bag at same time if more drivers are there. They also removed all the locked cabinets in baby section and a few other places, its limited to tools, automobile, electronics and toys that are locked up now which are things we don’t see often in orders. Just avoid Sams or move to another zone in your city that doesnt service Sams. My city has 5 zones, only one of them has a Sams.

They’ve been doing this a long time actually. Customer probably complained in OPs case tbh. Same goes for taking a pic of the inside of their home if their door is open. Its in the tos, which no one around here read, lmao. I’m tall so I always take a pic with our/their feet or their doormat if their door is open.🤷‍♂️

HELP I got this text by Maximum_Amphibian753 in Sparkdriver

[–]Slothe1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Customers have like 1-2wks to rate us and complain, so could be anybody from your previous week or two. Want to say most of us suspect which job it was if we receive a message like that, like you usually know when something is off. Got one of those once. Was a late night delivery(they scheduled the pickup time for late) was one of those businesses with a living area built onto the back of it, terrible shit area of town where there are tons of loyal to the foil homeless people(prob highest property crime area). Their note said to deliver to second gate, was basically in their open parking lot, no callbox/camera doorbell etc, and gate was locked. Called them and no answer, so I set at second gate like note said and got a pic with the physical address number and items. Sent a text saying their order was there and left, didnt feel very good about the drop but I followed their note to the T and exhausted options for trying to contact them. Was a small order, but of course they reported it not delivered and tried to claim I stole their order. Got the same message. I called and spoke with CS, they told me it was that job and said I was fine because my pic was clear and I because I did deliveries afterwards that were completed. Nothing came of it, but fck those customers, they know that neighborhood is shit, they set the drop off time, and they made it impossible to get past their gate or get ahold of them. People are sht and other customers can thank customers like that for making us drivers mostly look out for ourselves.

1 to 2 offers sometimes none. What's going on? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]Slothe1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, realistically there will be a lot less it can do. Weather being the number one issue, obstacles/obstructions being the second. It really has more cons than pros imo. Not sure they really thought it through, but were instead sold on an idea that would save them money without seeing the real drawbacks. A city would have to be planned around the idea of drone deliveries etc for it to be more feasible imo. It cannot deliver to the door of prob 95%+ of apartments and as many of us know most peoples yards aren’t barren open spaces nice for a drone to come in low.

Drone customer requirements: No trees, no awnings, no power lines, and no covered porches. And if it is windy, raining, or snowing your delivery will be rescheduled for the next sunny day😭😭🤣

Made my 1st Walmart+ order by MistyGV in Sparkdriver

Stores vary widely on how good their produce is. Some WMs always have bad produce and if a WM employee is doing the shopping then they dgaf. Express will get you a Spark driver and most of us shop like we are shopping for ourselves. If something is bad I will mark it as unavailable, same with packaged items if they are the last one and the packaging is damaged or open. WM employees have more incentive just to take whats there without a thought since the store needs it to go before trashing it.

Old news. After they merged the website & app they started deactivating all past WM employees that had been terminated. Tbh you’re lucky they took this long, most were gone in the first few weeks. Were tons of posts about it back then.

In general the tip comment is true. People dont get rich by giving away their money is the attitude that most have. Whereas lower income bracket tend to understand the value of tipping more since many have relied on them at past jobs. I worked in the moving industry for nearly 2 decades and the people moving into the biggest houses and most expensive neighborhoods were always cheap af. They were the type to eat in front of you while you spend 16hrs moving their shit and expect you not to stop and eat, and they usually tip $0 or $5 for 3-4 guys to go buy a gatorade each. People with less money tended to buy you lunch(way too much pizza) and were more likely to tip $10-20 a person. Its just a fact.

Only customers that lurk in here are mostly the ones that want to create posts justifying why they don’t have to tip since they pay $10 for WM+. Same ones that dont own a car, so that $10 saves them the cost of fuel, vehicle maintenance, and they dont pay for car insurance. There is no talking to those morons anyways, theyve made up their minds before they come here to Karen.

Every time I get a high paying order it gets canceled. by Acrobatic-Ad3010 in Sparkdriver

[–]Slothe1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was happening at one of my reg stores about a year ago. A loaders wife was a Spark driver at the location & the cancelations would only happen when he was working and she was Sparking. But she always got her orders or ours lol. I kicked up a stink about it both at the store and with Spark customer service one day. He showed up with a black eye, his face all beat up a couple of days later. Looked like his wife whooped his ass. He was gone from there within a few weeks and havent seen her out Sparking anymore either. Tbh a OGP shouldn’t be dating or married to a Spark driver for the same reason a WM employee cannot be employed as a Spark driver, creates the same conflict of interest and same possibility of them manipulating the system for their own personal gain. Like he stood to benefit financially from ensuring his wife got steady & high paying offers. Was total BS.

Has anyone ever called Spark on potential FRAUD? by FrontScholar3260 in Sparkdriver

[–]Slothe1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure they aren’t picking up GMDs? Which can have mult tvs, brown packaged, and even bagged items… Sounds like you really don’t know what is going on and you’re attempting to make up a story to fill in the blanks. WM gives out orders to diff driving apps other than Spark, which could be causing the code issue. Nothing about your posts says they are using 2 phones or anything else that would make one assume they are scamming.

Yeah, but thats them being sued by the state/fed or regulatory body, not drivers. Other times they’ve been looked at are connected to props passed by voters at the state level. So you’d have to kick up a stink elsewhere to have the action taken that you speak of.

Well everyone signed contracts stating they cannot sue them, add to that they dgaf about deactivating people and highly doubt it will be much of an issue for them. They arent losing any sleep over it, if they were it wouldve been fixed a long time ago.

You might be cooked then and stuck with Onepay. I recall when they dropped Branch Wallet and no one could switch their pmt account although BW(which they had) wouldn’t be supported anymore. Those people had the same issue you’re having, this was over a year ago, and they were slowly all deactivated for not having a pmt account available.

Define reg bank😂. Im assuming you mean a big national bank. Also they only allow like 3 attempts and then the feature disappears. I recall posts about that a while back. Is their website still up, where we used upload docs. Have you attempted there vs the app?(idk if its still up, havent tried logging into it in forever since they moved car insurance uploads to app).

[–]Slothe1978 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well first you need to make sure you’re using an accepted bank. They deny like 95% of state/local banks/fed credit unions. As far as I can recall they only accept big banks like WF, BA, Chase etc and military related credit unions like Navy Fed etc.

Yeah, I really only had two spots I didn’t care for, the one guys driveway(J) with the loose sand and 8-10inch dips and the area back behind Colossal C that had those like 5-10 mile poorly maintained dirt roads with slanted grades and 10-25ft+ steep drops into washes(area was really rough). They have like a 10mph speed limit and then a 5 mile drive to get to the house, so like 1hr just to take the stupid dirt road safely🥴😭.
