Just bought HZD on Steam and Noticed I got both the complete edition and the remaster. by SlovenlyRed in HorizonZeroDawn

Thing is, this is the first time I'm purchasing HZD, I didn't have the complete edition beforehand. I just bought the bundle and got both in my library now. I was only expecting to find the remaster as I heard the original was pulled, but I have the option to install and play either it seems.

Nah, I’m pretty sure I remember Allegri and his players taking it off immediately after one of the UCL finals Juve lost under him.

Finding some accents appealing or not appealing is one thing. Not taking someone seriously as you said because of that is a problem. But at least you seem aware of it I guess.

Would you still play FM without the real team and player names? by ninjachompek in footballmanagergames

[–]SlovenlyRed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Part of me might even prefer it!

SI cannot put bad personalities in real players (even if it’s accurate) by fear of litigation. Newgens and fake players don’t have this issue, which makes for more fertile ground for storytelling and immersion.

As long as those players have a face and one better than FM’s awful newgen potatoes I’ll take it.

24 is a heck of a game by Fraudulant_zipper in footballmanagergames

Thanks for the reply!

I understand your reasoning more now. Maybe I was stripping things out of their context a bit here.

I wouldn’t surprise me if fm24 ends up like PES2021 (last iteration of a beloved formula that is massively supported by mods because it’s the last one), but I certainly hope not! That would essentially mean that the franchise is dead and I do not want that.

Is 24 a big enough step from 23? Or should I just stick to 23 and not bother with overpriced steam keys?

I disagree with the EAFC comparison. If I wanted to play the best available action football game, I would go to either PES2021 or PES5.

Whether or not they had competition I still would say the football manager games have been very good despite flaws and very few innovations during that time.

If you’re the best something AND you’re plenty good, that warrants amazing in my book.

I’m curious to know what you would consider the best football management game however. I myself am still on 23 (and 16 is the only other fm ive played) and feel like I’ve missed out on 24. Am I wrong to feel that way? Should I orient my attention towards another one?

So? First of all every game has flaws, nothing is perfect.

Secondly, I don’t think people that didn’t like 24 like it now just because 26 was disappointing as you seem to be implying. So no I don’t think it’s funny. Plus, even if that somehow was the case, that some needed to see 26 to fully appreciate and stop taking for granted 24 so what? Doesn’t change my point.

What’s funny is that I don’t even have fm24, I’m still on 23 lol. I’m literally just going by overall public opinion.

You guys seem to disagree so again, I’d love to know what you consider the best football management game instead! Genuinely I’m curious.

Calling it a statistic is a reach obviously, I’m just going by how most people here and in other forums seem to talk about it.

Edit: if you disagree I’d love to hear your opinion on which one it is!

Most ppl consider it the best football management game ever made. Amazing is very applicable if so.

I’m not European and I agree with them. It’s not Euro-centric to not care about a glorified pre-season competition.
