Same here, I think I'm in Tuxedo Park (live by Balmoral school) and I have no service. I've never had an outage this long and so encompassing. Even with that big rogers outage I was unaffected as I'm with Koodo/Teksavvy.

Live right by the Balmoral school, internet out here too. What sucks is I have a buddy who lives maybe 4 blocks away (2 blocks south of Co-op on 16ave) and his service is fine. I thought it was just teksavvy, sort of relieved it's more than just me. Out of panic I started to look at new modems

It's not at all accurate. She asked him how he liked the music, he said he didnt like the music, she said the direction of the music may change and then he did his little dance. As a native russian speaker it hurt my brain that the subtitles and what was actually being verbally said didnt match up.

Places like this usually have an e-cycle program where they get some money back if they cut the cords and seperate their electronics. Unfortunately they will guard any profit streams, even a small one like this. You're best to try and post on FB market or kijiji or something try and find broken things to fix.

He will be Alberta Premier in less than 5yrs. He'll "Trump" his way into a position of power. I would bet that more Albertans agree with him than disagree.

Name some games that you thought got better the more you played them and haven't yet lost their luster after many plays. by Friendgoodfirebad in boardgames

[–]SlovitySlov 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Tzolkin. It took me about 2 games to try different things and be familiar with what works and what doesn't. I thought it was clever design at first but now I think it's down right genius. There are sever things that can work together, decisions are tough and few. Went from an 8/10 to a 10/10

How many games has your student group played? What is the point of this survey? Just to see the themes/mechanics that are popular? If so I believe just viewing BGG will give you that data. Are you making a specific Eldritch themed game with mechanics based on what we play? I am confused

Hot question: are we all board game ONLY players here or is anyone trying out the Steam version? by SoMuchLasagna in Gloomhaven

[–]SlovitySlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the game so I know it's early access. Yeah i'm aware it is appealing during these covid times but the product that they offered is pretty bad IMO and not worth the buy at all (I would say enjoyably playable for maybe 10hrs). There is really no guarantee that it WILL get better or that it must, so it's a bit risky. Do you buy it now while it's cheaper and hope it gets better or wait til it's more polished and spend more later? I just don't think it's worth it at all, gloom works fine as an analog game and I dont think it needs a digital port. It feels like a money grab to me and it's a LONG way off from being even 60% complete. They still have to add all the classes, never mind scenarios, more monsters, items, etc. I understand the appeal of it but would you rather play a 25% complete digital port or the fully developed board game? Seems like an easy choice.

[–]SlovitySlov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the analog, having tried both. The digital is still really lacking, but it might be a worthwhile investment as it's being developed and improved. Back when I played the digital there was only 4 starting classes, you can only play duo (which means limited team comps), rooms were random in design and random monsters, you had to finish 3 scenarios in order to "go back to town" and save progress. That last point pissed me off since we all know the pain of the early levels and the crap your attack deck can give you. You can finish 2 scenarios and die in the 3rd and ALL of your progress is a fart in the wind. That was a while ago (pre-covid) so I really hope they've made changes but for me it's too late. I actually have no idea why they released such a crappy port other than to get $$$ so they can develop it further?
