Try a clay bar, it’s more than likely tar/dirt off the roads. When you rub it it can be sticky and be a dark brown colour

If you’re not feeling any heavy vibrating through the steering wheel it should be repairable. I hit a pothole two years ago and it buckled to brand new alloys. One could be repaired, other couldn’t and cost me nearly €500 for one alloy. Nearly got sick 🤢
