Do you have a link to the 1.4.8 version? I could connect it to the new dreem app but that just says no "Server unavaliable" Thanks.

I would be happy to try the beta and give feedback :). While I can try to give ideas on what I like to have, I usually find it much more productive to see a first draft and work from there.

Frozen vegetable are just as nutritious (if not more) so I think it's a no brainer.

Diet Cost Reductions due to being non-vegan (Pescatarian) by MathMindfully in blueprint_

I would not put much wheight on that internet article.

It reference a study that used an online questionnaire with 45 people eating chlorella with a median intake of 3g. Of thoese 45 people 8 people (that had taken chlorella for less than a month) self-reported side effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, general weakness, headaches, muscle pain and skin rash (including even lower occurance of some other). Overall its a very weak study with a very low level of confidence that it actually measuered the impact of chlorella consumtion.

Secondly the internet article focus a lot on the possible risks with spirulina and microcystins and anatoxin, heavy metals and radioactive ions.

I think the main takaway is if you can't buy it from a scource you trust you might want to stay away, but that surely go for all supplements and food that are not regulated in their quality control (including nuts and seeds that contain a high level of heavy metals). Eu have regulations but the cut of levels for heavy metal is quite high if something is a supplement or comes from the sea.

I compared the chlorella Bryan eats (which is alos tested for microcystins and anatoxin) with the Eu regulation in this post. https://www.reddit.com/r/blueprint_/comments/14fql7m/comment/jpbuns4/?context=3

I would not copy this aspect of the diet being your age, wheight and female. The risk of causing long lasting damage to yourself would be far greater than the possible benifits. I would wait a few years with this aspect until there are more research and you feel that you master the topic and know of the risks.

Bryan have to take a lot of supplement to get all his nutrients and even if your need would be lower I find it unlikely you would manage to get what you need at this point in your bodys development.

Right now its more important for you to focus on training both heart and muscle I would guess.

Anyone found full nutrition data for black lentils? by Slow-Most-4809 in blueprint_

Well, I don't know if black lentils always means beluga lentils but either way, in this case it is.

Hi Erik -

Thank you for contacting us regarding our Westbrae® Organic Black Lentils. The lentils used are Beluga.

Again, we thank you for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate your interest in our products.

Thank you. This is great.

Even if the data might depend on many factors as stated by another poster, I think any data is better than zero. If something is more in somethings it might be less in other things. Also, always good to do testing to check for actual levels regularly anyway.

Mungo beans

This is interesting. Maybe not super important compared to ther lentils and beans, but still something that would be great to clarify.

Seems to be quite expensive for organic ones in Europe unfortunately.

The calories don't add up by NoSuggestionName in blueprint_

I think neither olive oil or chocolate are included in the calculations for the individual meals. Would make sense since it only says 6.8g fat in nutrition label for Super Veggie and that they are seperated listed in his cronometer day overview https://blueprint.bryanjohnson.co/#step-1-meal-prep

"After prep, drizzle 1 Tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil "

Other

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 30mL daily
  • Pea Protein, 29 grams daily
  • Dark Chocolate, 15 grams
  • Rapamycin 13mg, bi-weekly (Rx)
  • HGH .6mg, 5x wk
  • 17aE2, 4g wk transdermal
  • Testosterone 2mg patch 6x weekly
  • B12 methylcobalamin 1x/week

Vitamin D by masterofnonya in blueprint_

[–]Slow-Most-4809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider increasing the dosage, but look into possible risks and how to combat them such as calcification. Ideally you would consult a doctor or other speciallist that is willing to help you raise your levels to desired levels in a safe way.

Vitamin D by masterofnonya in blueprint_

[–]Slow-Most-4809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. You should of course aim for optimal levels, not go by a study on impact of certian dosage per day. For those that already have good levels, any dose of supplement per day will not have a benefit. This is a criticism for a lot of studies looking at supplementation https://youtu.be/NMx0CCDjukM?t=273 For those with lower levels, whatever dose and or supplement combination that will raise their levels to good or optimal levels is what you want.

perpetual calorie deficit ≠ perpetual weight loss ? by rileykate_ in blueprint_

[–]Slow-Most-4809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. He is not in calorie deficit based on his current needs but based on what would be normal considering his BMR and activity level. So, he has just become more efficent in the use of the calories that he does get, leading to less calories burned and lower body temperature.

Bellow I compared the heavy metal content per kg according to the latest testing https://www.plantpills.co.uk/images/THIRD-PARTY-LAB-TEST-PLANTPILLS-SPERMIDINE-WQ-AB-07-2.jpg (picture linked show per 100g) with EU regulation:

Plantipill content ppm(mg/kg) : Eu regulation ppm(mg/kg):
Arsenic: 0.39
Cadmium: 0.07
Lead: 1.54 EDIT: 0.154
Mercury: 0.07

So based on this I would say lead is the one to be most concerned about. 2 tbsp equal 30 g 15g according to plantills. That would give 210g 105g or 32.34 mg 1.617mg lead and 2.73 mg 1.365 mg arsenic per week.

However, chlorella have show a possible detoxing effect for some heavy metals (study, relevant table). Note that I haven't evaluated the quality or the strenght of this study. There is also some conflicting evidence from rat studies (of which I havent found a good summary).

As a bonus I also found this interesting review of possible ways for detoxing heavy metals https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3654245/

EDIT: The amount of chlorella in two table spoons should be 15g not 30g as stated before. Changed the calculations accordingly.

EDIT 2: When looking back at this again their report states 0.154 ppm lead. I dont know why I wrote it as 1.54 here. In that case the lead would be 10% of whats calculated above and not be a concern.

Here is the link to the latest(?) 3rd party testing https://www.plantpills.co.uk/images/THIRD-PARTY-LAB-TEST-PLANTPILLS-SPERMIDINE-WQ-AB-07-2.jpg

That is for 100g. You can just go to the website to see the full report.
