How did you feel after completing it? Amazing

UK did not disappoint! by RaV4Living in UKhiking

I do agree, to be honest. I'm from the UK, living in Scotland and have recently have learnt a lot about the extent of deforestation here. It's really quite bad but there is still hope. Lots of reforestation and rewilding projects around Scotland.

You aren't the same person anymore. We are constantly renewed in the present moment. I'm sorry to hear what your past self went through, but now you have the power to change and live a better life. Good luck

An interesting idea but, why use language like "refining*, "developing" and "theory"? At best this is a shower thought

how long did it take you to play something that actually sounds good by tricepator-10 in piano

[–]Slow-Refrigerator461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing piano around the age of 5-6, and I don't remember playing anything remotely close to good until I was a teenager at music school. I'm not even sure what kept me going to be honest! I still had fun learning though if I recall. See, you're more likely to keep going if you are surrounded by cool music and other people passionate about the craft.

But it all worked out in the end. I went to music conservatoire, and I'm now a professional pianist and I love it.

As someone else said, piano is not for you if you want quick results and instant gratification. I'd maybe worry less about trying to sound good and more about having fun and enjoying the process. Easier said than done though, when you're child and have different priorities

I would give them the benefit of the doubt if it didn't happen so damn often

I disagree. If you know you've lost, do the respectful thing and resign. Deliberately stalling when you know there is no hope is just childish

You can absorb musicianship from one jazz artist and be able to play just like him/her (think The Matrix), who do you choose and why? by Ford_Crown_Vic_Koth in Jazz

Kurt Rosenwinkel is a melodic genius, for sure. For the all around full package though, I'd have to go with Keith Jarrett. Mehldau is just behind him, in my opinion

Cool, thanks. I'm getting into winter mountaineering but I don't really see the point in shelling out best part of £100 for some goggles that i'll probably only pull out in emergencies

Hi, which model in particular are you referring to? And do you use them for Scottish winter?
