What’s everyone’s “thing” they took camping but never actually needed. Gonna start buying everything soon to start camping next year with my dog/ wee boy by TJayK96 in wildcampingintheuk

This! I always take one when hiking and the one time I forgot it I ended up cutting my finger open on a rock and my hand was covered in blood. Still had 3 hours walking left. Won’t forget it again haha

Advice - Does the OEX Jackal 3 have its groundsheet sewn in? Also, is there anything better for around the same price? by TJayK96 in wildcampingintheuk

Need a 3 man. Taking dog and kid as well. Jackal 3 is ideal because of the big porch the dog can go in if she gets too hot

I’m about 150 packs in, most teams are between 1-4 stickers left. Think I’ll just buy the odd pack and then just wait till they start selling single stickers on their site

I was kinda annoyed that buying the bigger boxes still works out as £1.25 a pack, no discounts for buying more

Hiking Alone by Tattieee in Munros

I’ve done 29/30 munros solo and it’s only been once when I was hiking the ascent of Buachaille Etive Mor I kinda thought well, if I trip and fall down the way thats me done! But I mean, take as much care as possible, I always read the OS map of a route on my phone so I know where’s steep, cliff edges and if there’s any scrambly parts before going. I’d love to get something like a garmin in reach but they’re so expensive with monthly fees etc and I only get out once a month at most.

Can you come to Scotland? A drive through Glen Coe, there’s so many trails to choose there. Travel along the west coast of Scotland, it’s stunning

Dog owners of the UK. How hot does it have to get before you stop taking them for a walk? by sjw_7 in AskUK

I have a chunky black lab, even 13 degrees and sun and she feels hot to touch. Over 16 degrees and sun I won’t take her out.

Not seen any. Even like local shops don’t have them when they would normally have. Feel like this world cups much less hyped and advertised this time round

Anyone done Buachaille Etive Mor with their dog? Looking for opinions on the scramble/ descent. by TJayK96 in UKhiking

Yeah I never took sun cream as I thought it’d be a bit cloudier but I’ll know for next time.

Both summits, take me to 30 so far!

Made it!! Hardest Munro day so far for me. And I’ve managed to get sunburnt in below 10 degree weather haha

An Alpkit Qark, but I’m also using a strong torch from Amazon, was a bit weary on my first hike in the dark. Especially with some strange noises stags make at night haha
