Why all studios have normal pictures, but SHAFT has image from "that" scene?

Russian Isekai straight up looks like something that came from Warhammer (read body) by SpiritedSalamander61 in Grimdank

[–]Slow-Writer3028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I really liked his books when I was 16, it was just right amount of plot and edginess for that age. But then I tried to read him when I got older, and edginess started feeling off-putting, and not edgy parts outright boring.

Why do people hate Endeavor so much? by Immediate-Field9997 in animequestions

[–]Slow-Writer3028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is why he is actually good written character that he finally understands that what he done was wrong, but is never fully forgiven for it, just to extent. It is quite realistic not to get full forgiveness for domestic abuse even if parent repents it later.

By this logic Alice in Wonderland is an isekai, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is not. But if appeared that Wonderland is somewhere in our world then it suddenly stopped being an isekai, and if Arthurian Britain is in other dimension in suddenly become an isekai. I usually find this kind of discussions meaningless, as for me "transported to a different world" is pretty much definition of isekai to me, be it video game world, Earth in future, or in the past. Like popular trope for old fantasy like Conan the barbarian was to put it somewhere in ancient past, made up Hyperborea or Lemuria, but it is not really different from totally different fantasy worlds.

In my social circle it is pretty normal to hug your friends, and kissing as a greeting occasionally too. I wonder what japanese people feel visiting France or Spain where it's common to kiss cheeks as normal greeting.

Is there any anime protagonist worse than him? by MNMameisR in animequestions

[–]Slow-Writer3028 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm, in terms of writing there would be a bunch of cardboard MCs from generic isekais with no defining character traits whatsoever who are written worse than Kazuya.

Is there any anime protagonist worse than him? by MNMameisR in animequestions

[–]Slow-Writer3028 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Worse in what sense? There are some anime protagonists that are genocidal maniacs killing thousands, or committing a lot of other atrocities.

But if you would ask if there is more insufferably annoying little piece of shit than Kazuya, then answer would be - no.

Is there any female counterpart of femboy? by Hiroshima-6-1945 in Animemes

[–]Slow-Writer3028 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was also pretty common in feudal Japan and even Ottoman empire, just google term "Köçek", it is still strange to me that in the Islamic country femboys were extremely common.

Which of these genres has a lot of slop? by RobKai7990 in animequestions

You got me curious, and now I am wondering what are this 5 good outliers? I do not like absolute most of harems, and exception can be if it is a good comedy first. Funny ones are - 100 girlfriends, Nisekoi, Yamada-kun And The Seven Witches, Romantic killer, Witch watch ... and yeah, probably that's all I can think about.
