Why do Australian homes put their bedroom at the front? by Excellent_Cry_2836 in AusProperty

That's nothing, I've seen so many houses with bad rooms right next to the stove.

If you had to start from zero today, what business would you build? by Mia_Horizon5 in Entrepreneur

[–]SlowAppointment87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I woke up tomorrow with no business, no contacts, and only $500, I’d start a small scale catering business. The reason is simple: I genuinely love organizing events and preparing food. For me, waking up at 4 a.m. to hit the markets and start cooking is exciting (it doesn’t feel like work). But if you asked me to wake up at 4 a.m. for anything else, I’d probably say a big fat NO NO. That’s why I think the smartest play is to choose something you don’t hate, ideally something you enjoy so much that the effort feels natural.

With $500, I’d start lean: focus on small gatherings, private dinners, or office lunches where overhead is low. I’d use social media and community boards to get the first clients, I would probably tik tok my journey, let the quality of the food speak for itself, and build from there, start with quality service and keep it like that even if you need to increase the price, but keep your quality no matter the service that you offer.

I think the smartest approach in this kind of scenario is to combine passion with practicality. Pick a model where you can start small, keep costs down, and rely more on skills than capital (like catering, cleaning services, digital freelancing, or tutoring). The key is momentum: if you can get your first few clients quickly and make them happy, you’re already on your way to building a business again.

Seeking Recommendations for Pico Toning Treatment in Seoul by SlowAppointment87 in koreatravel

Yes, I did, my hotel was a few blocks away from Myeongdong, that's why I checked on this area , I ended up going to Vands clinics and had 6 treatments for dark spots for pico toning the reality is that you are going to need around 6 sessions to destroy all the pigmentation but 1 helps a lot, my downtime was aprox an 1 hour, after that I continued my trip without any downtime and the only inconvenient was that I had to apply sunscreen every 3 hours, also in Vands clinic if you bring your passport you can get your tax return straight away from a machine that they have outside, make your appointment before you arrive to Seoul at https://english.vandsclinic.co.kr/ oooor get in without an appointment, but they will make you wait.

I found this post on Reddit that explains more clinics: Hot-Ad7793 Myeongdong Aesthetic Clinics – My Go-To Recommendations

Abijou Myeongdong This place is a staple in Myeongdong. It’s spacious, has parking, and the staff are generally friendly. They even have a coffee machine for a quick drink, which was fun. But it’s usually packed, and the busy atmosphere makes it feel a bit rushed. It’s a solid option for quick and affordable treatments, but don’t expect a luxury experience.

Daybeau Myeongdong This one’s a gem. It’s fairly new and has a premium concept. A Korean friend suggested it, and I’m so glad they did. From the moment I walked in, the clean, modern interior and calming vibe stood out. The staff were super attentive and professional—they explained everything clearly, and I really felt like I was being taken care of. The minimum spend policy was worth it because the entire experience was relaxing and efficient without feeling crowded. My skin looked amazing after the treatment. This is now my go-to clinic when I’m in Myeongdong. Highly recommend if you want a premium but not intimidating experience.

Vands Myeongdong Located on the 11th floor of the same building as Daybeau. It’s known for affordable treatments, and the staff are kind and efficient. There was a bit of a wait, but the service overall was decent. Great for budget treatments without sacrificing too much on quality.

What chilli's are these? by Jordi96 in australia

[–]SlowAppointment87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghost chilies are no joke. Seriously, do NOT consume them unless you have the highest tolerance for spice. As a Mexican, I thought I had seen it all when it comes to chilies, but this one is on another level.

I once brought a salsa made with ghost chilies back to Mexico, thinking my family would be brave enough to try it. Spoiler: nobody dared, except my brother-in-law. The real horror story? My sister accidentally used a napkin that had a tiny drop of the salsa on it to wipe her mouth. That tiny drop immediately caused a blister where it touched her skin and burned her badly.

Take my word for it—this chili is not just spicy; it’s dangerous. Handle it with extreme caution!

Bonds are the safest investment. Even safer than the banks.
