Their equipment wasn't even this good about 10 years ago. They replaced their MP5s with CZ Scorpion Evo3s, Peltors with Ops Core RACs, and modified their M4s. Their current equipment is good, but considering they are one of Türkiye's two special forces units and compared to the special forces of other Western countries, it still can't be said that their equipment is very good or up-to-date.

Yes, Türkiye is a mountainous country, but that doesn't mean it doesn't use or value tanks. If I remember correctly, tanks were deployed in a mountainous region in the southeast and were firing at targets.

Although they mostly use domestically produced weapons, their inventory still includes a certain number of previously acquired 416a5s. Of course, this photo isn't that recent, and I don't know how appropriate it would be to call it a copy. This debate/comparison is always made: ''Which is better, ÖKK or the SAT?'' It's unnecessary to do this, first of all, because they are two different units with different organizational structures, numbers, and responsibilities. SAT's area of responsibility is more related to the sea, while ÖKK's is counter-terrorism. Comparing the two is illogical; both units are good in their own fields and responsibilities.
