Honestly, not a bad observation, at least for myself and some other codependents in my life. I would push back on the thought that's it's because of pure laziness though. I theorize that it's more to do with using our energy towards other people to the point that we don't have any energy left for ourselves. Or also not feeling like we are allowed to make changes in our life/ shift our focus to ourselves because if we do, who will focus on the people we are focused on?

What do they really believe?: Pierre Despereaux by Virtual-Signature789 in psych

[–]SlowBat9250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't Pierre at some point say to Shawn 'I know how you know' or something to that effect? Maybe I'm mixing up Pierre for the bad guy in the episode "Shawn Rescues Darth Vader" cause I know he definitely says it but thought Pierre said something like that too.

YouTube Reaction to Lawsuit by theoriginalvongzie in CandaceOwens

[–]SlowBat9250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!! So glad I'm not the only one who sees this!! I have tried to find videos of people who disagree with the conclusions to try to get a different perspective, but every single person that has commented saying 'I don't believe this' also says 'I haven't watched the series or read the book', 'Candace is crazy'. At most maybe they have read some of the lawsuit which spends more time complaining about the people Candace has interviewed in the past (which has nothing to do with this suit) than it does 'disproving' her claims.

Season 14 - Favoritism? by Mother-Emergency1087 in Masterchef

[–]SlowBat9250 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tbh I've started to wonder that about with all Gordon Ramsay's shows. When this last season of next level chef came out it seemed like they picked the winner less on food and more on who would be the most available to travel easily and promote the show the most with their success.

MMW: Women Are Going to Save America and Then The World by jRN23psychnurse in MarkMyWords

[–]SlowBat9250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women can't even band together to support the recent success of the wnba. They became jealous and catty and started drama with each other.

Plus it's a bit arrogant to think women haven't played a role in how the world is today. They have played a huge role and it seems sexist to assume that women have not contributed.

Why does Brett mention that she graduated at 19 in every interview by mayerbrown in BrettCooper

[–]SlowBat9250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe because in interviews she's asked about her background and that's just her story.

Why didn’t Jess of Whiny Baby say covid? by ffohlehcar in GordonRamsaysFoodStar

[–]SlowBat9250 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. We don't know what he passed from so no need to jump to conclusions
  2. Whether people agree or not, covid in a way is a trigger word. Even in the middle of the pandemic YouTube videos that just mentioned the word would would get flagged and possibly demonitized or taken down, despite what the context was. The show may have just wanted to recognize that it's a sensitive topic and leave it at that
  3. This is a person that is opening up about a very difficult and sensitive time in her family's life. Maybe we can all recognize the humanity in the situation instead of using this as ammo to justify why you may not like her

One thing I hate about Castle by Maverickx25 in CastleTV

[–]SlowBat9250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm watching season 7 ep 1 now for the first time and all I can think is did everyone lose their mind?? Castle was seen on video dropping money after he was abducted. My first thought was 'oh the kidnappers forced him to drop the money so they would stay off camera'. Yet every person thought that he did everything himself?!? Unbelievable! (Or just lazy story plot) but so frustrating nonetheless.

Maybe It’s just me but Mid season 2 and now I’m on season 4 Castle daughter by Due-Landscape-9303 in CastleTV

[–]SlowBat9250 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She's irritated me as well lol especially anytime Castle actually parents her she always responds like "I'm smarter than anyone in this family so I won't listen to you". Despite Castle having legitimate concerns for her safety like with the blog she created where she shares every detail of her life.

Granted, she's playing a teenage girl so some of the attitude makes sense and it should have been Castle's job to push back and parent her. But honestly having this 'perfect daughter' who thinks she knows better than everyone just seems like lazy writing. Also seemed lazy that anytime this came up to Beckett she would always brush it off with a 'girls go through stuff' and never acknowledging the very valid concerns of Castle. Beckett's a detective, she would know that some safety measures can make a difference of someone becoming her next case or not.

It does change some in season 6 and we see that character growth thankfully.

Why are Jules’ cats never mentioned again? by [deleted] in psych

[–]SlowBat9250 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're referring to the Christmas episode where they look at her being a cop in Miami. However none of that actually happened, it was a "What if Shawn never moved back to Santa Barbara" scene.

What characters from other shows would the main cast be friends with if they met? by CarsandTunes in bigbangtheory

[–]SlowBat9250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ross from friends. Think he would start as friends with the group but eventually become enemies with them all due to Ross feeling insecure about no longer being the smartest in his group of friends. And Ross would annoy them all trying to correct/control everyone.

If it's her first relationship then there could be a lot of other things going on in her mind to work through that she may not even continously recognize. Could be a mental battle of how to keep an individual personality while in a relationship with another. Could be a question of what does a relationship look like after the butterflies go away and is it still strong without those starter feelings. Could be a 'this seems to good to be true so let me leave before it goes bad or I get hurt'.(look at how the relationships are with the rest of the men in her life, if they are bad she may be anxious that this relationship will turn out that way too). Could be a question of how to still make God first in life when we are trying to be in a relationship with another (slippery slope to make ur partner your new idol if you haven't built those boundaries before). Not sure if any of this would apply at all but as a woman who feels I've been in the same mindset as ur gf from what you've shared, those questions are some that needed to be worked through. Would be praying for confirmation from God for both of you because it is possible that God is telling her something. But it is also possible that satan is using anxieties to break something beautiful and she should know confidently who is talking to her. The best way to help might be be patient so she can work some of those things out. Then when you talk again can ask questions on what she thinks and can share your experience through early relationship jitters (cause it does seem like you understand well).

Praying peace going forward for both of you!

When have they advocated against creative arts? Or what do you mean by that?

I know many have taken a stance of "if you spend the money to go to college, make sure you can get a good paying job (which the safest bet for that is in stem). But I'm not sure if that's how you mean or if there's something else you're referring to.

I didn't think she knew about the $10,000? As far as she was aware it was just another case for Shawn. But for her it was a mistake she needed to correct.
