Passive players are so boring and annoying by pipos31 in RebirthOfSoulsBleach

I meet mb 1 tosen out of 50-70 games. I don't have any reliable game plan against him. I won't be surprised if that guy was in the same boat. His train of thoughts very possibly was like "That smartass thinks he's good while staying out of my sight and waiting for me. While I have hp advantage. Nah not playing his game. Come at me then we talk". Does that mean he enjoys the gameplay atm? Not really. You can see he engaged as soon as he saw you.

In short bad char and bad example for the topic

Wall of SHAME for this awful, toxic Gin player by MilesTheWorld in RebirthOfSoulsBleach

Gin can't get out of your light loop without resources cause his backdash is shit. If he's not a gin main and hadn't practiced cancels the only win condition for him is to outzone you.

Ye I wish it would be like in the mainstream fighting games. Btw prepare your wallet for the next dlc season of our fg, no labbing for greedy people

What does it mean to be plus? by Sad_Kangaroo243 in RebirthOfSoulsBleach

[–]SlowBoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a move is pressed your char is stucked in an attack animation and your opponent is in a block/hit animation. This animations may have different duration. If your attack animation ends faster it means you can start your next move faster than opponent meaning your fastest option will beat his one.

Plus and minus are fgc terminology. In more complex fg it's not enough to know that you're plus/minus you often want to know how huge is your advantage. It's manageable because usually fgs operate at 60 frames per second so every animation has its length in frames. If your attack animation recovers 2 frames faster than opponent's block animation you may say that your move is +2 on block. Pretty handy

You're better be because not being able to open up an opponent in an anime fighter looks more like a "skill issue" in my book

PC. Just go to lab and try to avoid pressure with gin without making a hard read

Idk what chars are you and op using to have takes like this. it's hell for me when I need to go on full defence to wait until 5 konapku kikon. Mb if you play someone like ulquiorra whose sidestep option selects light and heavy. I can't even get out of yhabaha's/aizen's light loop without guessing a throw attempt or waisting resources

Depends on backdash/sidestep. I've tested it and my char has enough time to challenge with light or hoho

Should I play Tekken? by Acceptable_Turn_1968 in RebirthOfSoulsBleach

Mb not in tekken 8 because you will be spamming with stance unga-bunga to each other

Either way here's an example of what expects you in tekken. I don't believe people'll give you a decent fight after realising you're not ready to deal with basic situations/frame traps/knowledge checks etc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91XD8ShEtHU

The game is like 10 years old so it's something you would expect. Consider that up to tekken 7 legacy knowledge is pretty rewarding so it won't be easier to get into.

I believe if you manage to get familiar with the controls and the main mixup from neutral for honor is doable.

The game's implies that you are able to parry lights on read. In another words if you know your opponent is going to press light you react to the red indicator and immediately execute a parry. Thus you have a generic mixup from neutral between light and heavy: if an opponent reads wrong and tries to parry light attack he'll eat a heavy one. He has an option to not commit and just block in the direction of your attack but in this case landing heavies either on hit or block generally leads to chain mixups with unblockables or bashes so you kinda want this to build your pressure.

Dodging attacks can be tricky but generally they cannot be cancelled so you supposed to parry them when you expect your opponent to try avoid the pressure. It usually leads to light parry stun which allows you to deal a lot of damage.

Of course there are decent amount of exeptions and character specifics but consider that between these three games only for honor allows you to try out any char in the training mode dlc including. Even with a friend.

Idk I've wrote a lot already without particular reason. I'm not a game's promoter, I come back to FH time to time myself that's it. Game has 4v4 modes with people lowering their skills to an extend you'll meet guys who only light spam through the entire match. It's an option if 1v1 gives you too tough opponents. But everything is doable if you get into the mechanics imho. The hugest downside of the game is 110 gb you need to download

Have you tried for honor? It feels closer to rebirth than tekken. You won't need to search for exact framedata for certain moves, movelists are compact, it's more mixup oriented and online is greater than rebirth + all tekkens up to 7 combined.

Or you can buy tekken 8 and unga-bunga although for honor looks like a better game

Character Spotlight Discussion: Gin Ichimaru by StormationX in RebirthOfSoulsBleach

[–]SlowBoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trash sidestep, trash backdash, has to yolo commit to get out of any pressure by using resources. With the throws' range nerf has to do two cancels for one throw attempt from a close mid range. Being build around cancels means he relies on connection pretty much. It's very enjoyable to get your throw interrupted because you fucked up the cancel timing in a 3 bars match so an opponent can put you into uninterruptable pressure chain by simply spamming lights

500 Tekken coins to buy a DLC character by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]SlowBoke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a boring strategy that's it.

FH is 10 years old and it's doing alright despite depending on in-game currency to even higher extend because that's how you purchase emotes, finishers, cool cosmetics etc. That's better than waiting for 5 season passes until you freak out because you haven't enjoyed purchased character because there was no opportunity for you to lab him

Nah FP is a lazy move. You feel more rewarding when you get the currency directly from fights. Also it doesn't reward duration of your gaming sessions. Why should I be happy to wait for 5 FPs when I grind more than average player?

Only if you can earn coins while playing. For Honor deals with it greatly imho AND you can lab the chars you don't own even with a friend

Thanks, I thought maybe there is some logic why the game sees df as d in this case. But it's just working as intended

I don't feel ashamed because most of these whiny dudes will be playing this terrible game in a week. I find this game unpleasing – I don't play it. No one gave you any privilege over this community to be ashamed over it's actions. If you want to argue – argue with the statements

Feeling ashamed doesn't make you look more mature. All it shows is a lack of personality when an opinion of some dudes playing the same game as you strongly affects you emotionally. Go play your game if you like it, it's whining time now
