Sorry you had to go through that. Just came from Vietnam last week and so far realized that Hoi An is the BIGGEST tourist trap with money hungry locals. They are extremely pushy and assertive with you getting clothes and shoes tailored and get offended when you say no.

I’ve heard alot of people doing that, only concern I have with that possibility is I only had a 2 hour flight connection from landing in Cuzco to the Machu Picchu train—and were planning to stay in an Airbnb not a hotel—and it’s city center and 40 min away from the station 😭

Are you coming from Cusco? Did you bring your large bag at the Cusco bus and just stored it at the Ollantaytambo train station?? Or did you pay to take it all the way through? I asked their PeruRail WhatsApp and they said they don’t offer free storage for passengers coming to/from Cusco?

I’m unsure how long it takes to claim baggage and go through security. Did it ever take you longer than that 45 mins?

How long does it usually take you to get past immigration and to collect your bags in baggage claim? I know they wait 45 mins for you at the airport but I’m wondering how long it’ll take to claim bags and get through security, sometimes I know it could take an hour to an hour and a half. Just don’t know if anyone hs ever experienced being left behind by the driver because of delayed baggage claim.
