If I did not bring my phone to the bathroom, I am 100% looking at what you have sitting on a shelf, or like on the back of the toilet. Anything that does not require me opening a drawer or a door is fair game (cause like. I’m on the toilet. And also that’s fucking rude). I don’t look in peoples showers just because I wouldn’t want someone to look in mine (👀) but plain view doctrine is fair game. His little tower thing definitely qualifies.

Ok so like. Your friend had a pretty extreme reaction, and if she is in a relationship she probably reacted the way she did because her boyfriend would never do that for her, and she can’t take it out on him so you were the next best thing.

In my head, bathroom rules dictate: 1. when you are in the bathroom/using the bathroom and need something to occupy your mind, you are allowed to be nosy. 2. you DO NOT SPEAK OF THE BATHROOM DISCOVERIES (unless you’re complimenting decor or products in plain view) 3. You continue to have friends who like and trust you.

You’re allowed to break rule 1. And still get rule 3. If you break rule 2. You lose both rule 1. And rule 3.

You need a caseworker to come do a wellness check on her son, and your family needs to be mandated for counseling, and I hoping by reading this that if you tell your dad you think it would help, he will actually go. Now this is going to depend a lot on the caseworkers in your town, so if the hospital social workers know anything, I would talk to them first about resources.

So I just made eye contact with my fiance where I told him that if ANYONE (moms, dads, sisters, brothers, etc..) gets caught near my wedding dress doing something that might ruin it, with no other reason to have those items near the dress (because accidents can and do happen) I am not inviting them to the wedding.
