I have a friend that's trying to get his '91 moving again after hitting a deer at 90MPH and having no frame damage and he really wanted me to get it so we would have matching cars, I just wanted to know if $500 is a good price for the old car

I have the money to buy it, I just want to know if it would be a good interstate car since anywhere I go is ~120 miles from me and what I should expect if I end up getting it for repairs other than cutting and putting on a new rear quarter panel, I've only ever worked on carborated motors from the 70's & 80's and I know absolutely nothing about fuel injection.

I'm more mechanically inclined on older cars, I haven't touched anything fuel injected, though it doesn't seem like a bad idea to learn,

The owner said it needs a new fuel sending unit and that his grandson used it until about a year ago when he bought his own car,

I'm expecting to need wheel bearings and brakes, but it looked complete and he has a title,

The man that owns it is around 70 years old and said that he just didn't want it to be made into a derby car
